Two years ago when I would occasionally hatch out a gecko with a large reddish area I thought it was early red spots however these spots fade away as the gecko grows. Curious if anyone else has had this happen! Is it only with dals? Would love to know what causes it if you have a theory let me know! Trauma from being in the egg? Second pic is 30x magnification and 3rd pic shows the egg teeth 😍🤩🦎

I start pore sexing around 4 g. This 4 g baby is clearly showing pores. For me this isn’t a “possible” male- it IS a male! Most of my males last year were showing clear pores by 6ish g. I kept records and NONE of my last year babies developed pores after 7 g! Pretty interesting! 😍🤩🦎

Does anyone else have females who seem to guard their eggs? Right before this picture she went after me when I tried to get her laybox. I’ve noticed for several days they will dig back down and seemingly check on their eggs? Curious to know if anyone else notices this! 😍🤩🦎
