Massage isn't just for horses that are in work. It's also great for retired horses and horses on stall rest (if they have been cleared for massage by a veterinarian).
This is Shady.
Shady struggles with farrier visits due to osteoarthritis in his knee. On his bad days he won't stand still, will bite at his chest and front legs, and even pop the occasional rear.
Shady gets very tense and irritable from compensating for his sore knee. He had a full body massage 6 days before his recent farrier visit. It was SO good to see him acting like his old sweet calm self.
