As this was getting written we got 3 more return emails, tons of owner surrender emails and calls, tons of stray dogs needing help, owners needing help with their dogs it is never ending. We have NEVER had this many adoption returns. On top of our already maxed out facility we are really drowning
Here we are begging again... Adoptions are not picking up but the returns keep coming. With so many long time dogs to care for and all the returns we can't make it financially anymore. We need steady income, and adoptions use to be that income. We have hit the bottom for real with what feels like no hope. We are all working hard at fundraising and grant writing without much return. We have over 100 dogs due for vaccines right now or a HW test. We buy our own vaccines and test to save money but we can't even do that. We have regular monthly mortgage, van payments, vehicle insurance, electric bills, trash bills, rescue insurance. We can't pay our staff we care for over 150 dogs at the facility and over 400 animals in the rescue all together. We need steady regular sponsors or we will have to shut down. Our founder (thats me)use to support Apollo financially when times were tough but due to her own health issues she is on disability unable to work to support Apollo like she has for last 12 years. We are desperate and need support immediately or we will have to find a way to start shutting down. it's hard to keep begging. Even are facility is in need of so much work. If you have something to give even few dollars we need all the help we can get.
