Sweets first ride in 5 months!

I hear all the time “we aren’t ready” pertaining to taking a lesson, entering a clinic, or just doing something new with your horse. I always feel like the only way I’m going to be “ready” for anything that comes our way is to get out there and do it, and surround yourself with professionals and individuals that support your goals! Even professionals need help and support! I have not ridden this mare in 5 months, we entered the clinic anyway. I didn’t have a chance to get her off property once before this, she has never seen this indoor. She has no shoes on since we weren’t going to restart til next Spring. We weren’t “ready” but she was fabulous, it was an amazing outing, and we did walk trot. Moral of the story, if you wait til alllll the things you think need to be in place are there, you’ll miss out on a lot!!

Update!

Nimbus has found his 5* home!

Due to no fault of his own Nimbus is looking for his new person!

11 year old ottb. Nimbus is quiet and extremely well mannered, but is a sensitive guy, under saddle prefers advanced beginner and up, has done walk trot with the kiddos, but needs support for canter and up. He is not at all spooky but needs quiet reassurance when he is unsure.

Nimbus has been through a few lesson programs before coming to me and has made it clear he really wants his own quiet person! He is absolutely lovely on trails and hunterpaces, will lead or follow just fine! He needs to learn water a bit more but has worked through every time we encountered a new obstacle. He would ideally love a low level home for companionship, trails, hunter paces and light ring work.

For interested parties we have recent hock, and back xrays. Nothing major, but for his comfort a low level kind home is what we are looking for.

He goes out 24/7 with a group of geldings, and is most certainly the low man, but has found his spot and enjoys his friends!

He’s an easy keeper on TC senior, and lots of hay. We have transitioned him to being barefoot but wears boots while riding due to the footing this year!

A safe happy home is a must so very flexible on $.

- REPOSTED FTOM A FELLOW COACH -
Imagine a performance based job, where your achievements are measured hour by hour and you can be replaced at any moment without any warning. Imagine a job where your ability is often measured by people with less experience, qualifications or knowledge. But you're judged by them anyway.
Imagine doing this job with no added benefits. No sick pay. No holiday pay. No pension. No company car. No medical insurance. We pay for our own insurance, compulsory training and car expenses.
A regular income is never guaranteed and in fact, is often lost completely, very last minute due to bad weather, client illness or injury or just because a client changed their minds.
So why do we do it?
The answer is simple... Passion.
Passion for equine welfare, knowing that by educating the rider, their horses will be happier, healthier and better able to perform at their discipline.
Passion for helping others to experience that euphoria when it goes right, when that goal is smashed and and when they achieve that feeling of absolute harmony between them and their horse. We know what that feels like and we want every rider we encounter to feel it too.
Passion for supporting riders when it all comes crashing down. We also know that feeling all too well. When it feels impossible, we feel your tears, the fear, the falls and the failures as though it is our own.
It's our passion for the sport, our passion for educating the next generation of equestrians and our passion for equestrian welfare that inspires us to do this job.
We stand in the rain all day, (in the hot sunshine too occasionally), we haul jumps and poles around, we drive for miles and miles between yards, we wipe your tears and we cheer you on, we sit up til late planning the steps towards your goals, we listen to your late night calls, we work with your vets, physios and farriers, we help at your first show, with your outfits and tack and despite being being utterly useless photographer's, we try our best to capture "the big jump" without chopping off your head!
Your instructor cares passionately about you and your horse. We put in so much more than the hour a week that you book.
I am incredibly blessed to have the most incredible clients and to be able to earn a living doing the thing I love most.
A big shout out to my fellow coaches; we are respectful of each other and rely upon one another to achieve a common goal.
💕💕💕

I love love love my clients and my own coaches so much, they all create in me a better professional and rider! Don’t take for granted that relationship!!

George heading to his fourth place finish in his first novice! On a crazy wizard of oz level wind day he was a star from start to finish to end on his dressage score! So impressed with this dude and can’t wait to see him develop more!

When In New England, you jump cross country questions in a downpour…in December! George wasn’t too sure at first but we had the most amazing ride practicing some technical turns over cross country jumps in the derby ring! Such a great thing to have this time of year! So excited with this boy and feeling 💪💪 going into winter! Can’t wait to see our favorite coach next week and practice practice practice 😍❤️😍❤️😍

To the horse that gave me everything ❤️ 22 years together and it still wasn’t enough. You were the definition of a heart horse, forever horse, everyone’s favorite. From my first Hunter trials, to littles walk trot you surely did it all! You have confidence when needed, and reality checks when required. You were my best friend for more than 2/3rds of my life and I could never pay you back for the life you gave me! Today you were almost 32 years old, surrounded by your friends and walked over the rainbow bridge, you deserved that above all else. Until we meet again my friend ❤️❤️

Why does George get cheaper blankets than everyone else? Hmmm….$10 says that neck won’t be on in the morning 😭😅🤣🤯

Georgie just being a perfect little prince with mama! He’s ready for clinic weekend with our favorite coach .farren_englert!!!

George enjoying some bounces today in the Stephie Baer Eventing grid clinic! Really so happy how this dude is coming along and starting to think through problems and mistakes rather than being worried about them!
