Update from the bunny barn! Sorry haven’t posted much. Hubby and I were diagnosed with Lyme disease this past month. Hubby has been on oral antibiotics and I had to go to the hospital for 2 weeks everyday for iv antibiotics. We are finally starting to to feel better. We were hoping to breed Ellie this month but she got sick and passed. Mabel will be a year in August and hoping for babies from her. I will keep you posted. Watch for ticks and if you remove one, please call your doctor and get on antibiotics quickly. Enjoy your summer.

Update on the baby bunnies. We have now lost all of them. I feel so bad for Lulu. We tried to help her with the babies but couldn't save them. We think it was a very difficult birth for her and she couldn't recover well enough to take care of them. Plus she was also a first time Mom. We will be breeding Ellie sometime in June and Mabel the end of summer. Hoping for a better results. Thank you for everyone who follow our page. I will be posting fun pictures of the bunnies and their vegetable garden.

Update on the baby bunnies born last week. What a long week! We have now lost a total of 5 babies so far. 😢. We have been checking them twice a day and supplementing when needed. We thought Annie was pregnant and fooled us again. Just another crazy hard breeding year! I do not keep a waiting list. If any survive, I will post on this page when I take names.

Well after a horrible breeding season last year. Lulu, a first time Mom, delivered 9 sandy colored babies Tuesday evening. Lulu gave us a scare after the birth. She looked horrible, labored breathing and couldn’t put her head up. We did not expect her to be alive the next time we checked her. The next morning we found her feeding her babies and looking so much better. I always hold my breath for the first few weeks.

Bolivar Library will host its Reading with Rabbits program.

We had children sign up to read to Tucker at our local library today. Tucker enjoyed all the stories and meeting the families. Tucker had so much fun, he is coming back next month for more reading times.

Starting to get ready for hopefully a successful breeding season this year. Hubby and I decided we want to find a wonderful family for Rosie to love. She has to be a pet and not a breeding doe because of her not producing milk. Rosie is a 2 year old sandy Flemish giant and loves attention. We will be choosy on who she goes to. She needs lots of room. Please message me if you have further questions.
