Paddock in the Pines is run by Alex at Scouting for Dogs, situated in the beautiful and peaceful vicinity that is, Broughton woods, North Lincolnshire! Paddock in the Pines is a 1.7 acre, fully enclosed dog paddock with 6ft fencing - giving you peace of mind

and security when letting your dog’s run free! Our woodland paddock is the perfect location for good sniffs and mental stimulation with lots of activities to keep your dog’s brain busy! Being surrounded by woodland, we have the added bonus of it being much cooler than an open field but please be aware that you must still take extra, and sensible precautions in the summer heat. Bookings and payments are to be made online. Once your booking has been made, you will receive confirmation, directions, and a copy of our t’s & c’s. Please always bring your own water and bowls for your dogs to ensure there is always fresh water available as there is no access to running water in the paddock. Water containers will be provided and although these will be checked regularly, please make Scouting for Dogs aware if they are running low. Please note – by making payment, you are agreeing to having read and understood & that you will comply to our terms and conditions.

🍄 FUNGI 🍄‍🟫

Please be aware that this time of year in woodland comes mushrooms.

There are a number of mushrooms rapidly growing inside the paddock, and although I am removing them on the daily, they are growing in high numbers overnight. I simply can not keep on top of removing them.

Most mushrooms are dangerous to dogs if digested. Although most dogs won't attempt to eat them, please keep a close eye on your dogs when using the paddock and clean their paws down once you are home to prevent them from licking the toxins.

Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do other than what I'm already doing. It's one of the very few downsides to having a woodland paddock 🌲

As always, once you make payment, you are agreeing to our t's & c's and accept full responsibility for monitoring your dogs whilst using our facilities, and you acknowledge the risks of plants and flowers that may not be safe for your dogs to digest.

You may have noticed a new addition to the paddock this weekend! 🌲

We thought it would be fun to add some haybale jumps (I stole the idea from after attending their gun dog games and seeing how much the dogs enjoyed them!)

I'd really like to keep these bales in good condition and for as long as possible, so please do not use them to sit or stand on. With the horribly wet weather we've had recently, they will not take human weight (this is including children, please 🙏)

I can't wait to see what your dogs think to them! 🐶
