Busy today fitting Pumpkin with her lovely purple T-Touch harness from ! 🎃

I love T-Touch harnesses! ♥️🐕🐕‍🦺

✅ Front and back clips for great lead control
✅ 4 clips so nothing has to go over the dogs head
✅ Supportive and save, but small and light
✅ Not restrictive on the joints
✅ 5 adjustable clips so it fits perfectly on the neck and chest

Pumpkin here has an odd shape body, so normal harnesses are either too small on the chest, or too tight around the neck. Her odd frame also means bulky harnesses are uncomforble for her.

Pumpkin isn't the biggest fan of having a harness put on, and we are doing lots of fun work on this. But having a harness we can quickly fit around her, that we don't have to put her legs or head through, makes it so much less stressful for her!

It's also great to support a fellow IMDT trainer!

Puppies are cute, but they tend to bulldoze their way joyously through life! They want to explore everything, and greet everyone, and see if everything is chewable.

Don't worry though. This is something ALL puppies do.

Over-excitment and tiredness make these behaviours worse too!

Learning simple skills like sit and touch really help, so do calming activities.

Is your puppy nipping?
It hurts right!!! We call puppy teeth shark teeth! 🐕🦈

Puppies explore the world with their mouths and play with their mouths. We also see this behaviour more when dogs are tired or over excited. So in puppies it makes sense!

It's a perfectly normal behaviour and is something ALL puppy owners experience.

Don't worry though. You can train it out! We say any teeth to skin or teeth to clothes GAME OVER! Finish the play, or the cuddle, and pop your pup somewhere calm to settle with a kong or lick mat. We interrupt and distract!

We are so sad to hear the news about Paul O'Grady today. He always spoke to the kennel staff at Battersea like old friends! He cared so deeply about the dogs we looked after, and did a lot to promote how wonderful rescue dogs are.

Those eyes say don't take my toy! 👀👁The roundness of the eyes, the wrinkles over the eyes, the jaw held shut, ear back. We zoomed in from a few meters away.

Is she guarding the toy because she wants to be the alpha, the leader of the pack? Because she is dominant. Absolutely not!

We think her previous owners would wrestle things away from her, tap her nose and shout at her.

Resource guarding is hard to work with, but this pocket rocket will get there!

We took the photo, realised we were too close, gave her space and then rewarded her for heavily for leaving the toy and coming to us for a fuss!
