I am an LA-based rescue coordinator hoping to run my own rescue someday in the name of my senior chihuahua, Gizmo.

While I am not a 501c3 rescue, I work with several and will post adoptables, foster babies, and rescue missions.

ADOPT JULIO: This boy is absolutely sweet as can be! He is under 1-year-old, but is one of the biggest kittens we have ever seen! He surely was on his way to being a large Tom Cat before he was neutered. Julio was rescued in Kuwait and transported to Los Angeles by and to help him find a home. Julio is a complete cuddle bug - he loves rubbing against people, giving kisses, and laying in your lap. Everyone is his friend! He is cat, dog, and kid-friendly. I can’t speak enough about how cuddly and sweet this boy is! If you want a lap cat, he is the boy for you! As for his eye, he had an infection as a young kitten that grew worse when he was a stray. He is on eye drops to hopefully help it improve, although it probably will be a little squinty going forward. (Also please excuse the dirty fur in the photos - these were taken immediately after his 15+ hour trip from Kuwait!)

ADOPT JADE: 4.5 month old Jade is the last of her litter looking for a home. She has been overlooked due to her shyness. Two of her siblings were also on the shy side, but quickly melted within hours of being in their new homes. I absolutely believe Jade will come out of her shell once she goes to her furever home!

Jade LOVES other cats - to the point that we are only allowing her to be adopted into a home with other cats. She gets a lot of her happiness and confidence from playing and cuddling with other cats. I believe she would do well with calm dogs as well, although hyperactive ones may overwhelm her. She would do fine with kids - as long as they are respectful of her space. Jade is a very sweet girl who is looking for a person who is going to love her through her initial shyness and help her feel safe and loved!

Jade is fully vetted and can go home ASAP. She is combo test negative for FIV and FelV. She also had the most adorable little bob tail!

ADOPT BUTTERCAKE: 3-year-old Buttercake has been waiting for a home for a long time. She’s timid and can get tense if someone approaches her too quickly, but she is a total darling. She is very gentle, sweet, and loving. She’s an absolute angel who loves being pet. Belly rubs are a must once she gets to know you! You could dress her up and she would allow it. Once she trusts you, she totally melts. She likes dogs and children, but is weary of hyperactive or alpha cats. She is fine with gentler cats, but prefers the company of humans! Although she is independent, she would make a good cat for a first-time cat owner who is not expecting outright affection at the start. She plays hard to get, but she’s worth it!

ADOPT OPAL: 4-month-old Opal is a gorgeous tri-color female. She is a brown tabby with the cutest little orange spots all over her body!

Opal is very content to bask in the sun or cuddle up on a cat tree! She likes other cats and could probably become accustomed to dogs, although we haven’t introduced her to one yet. She would likely be happy to be a single cat as well. Opal can be independent, bold, and even a bit of a diva. You can tell she is always analyzing what is happening and making judgements on her next move. She is an extremely intelligent cat! Opal hasn’t quite figured out that she likes being pet yet. She allows pets and can be carried and cuddled, but she doesn’t seek it out yet. I believe that will happen quickly once she is in the right home. Her siblings who have been adopted had very similar temperaments and totally melted with cuddles once they found their furever home!

Opal is combo test negative for FIV and FelV. She is a Panleuk survivor and no longer tests positive for the disease. She will be spayed September 2nd and will be ready to go home!

ADOPT WINKY & GRUMBLE: These two brothers are set for their neuter on September 9 and then are all set and ready to go home! They can go home earlier if their adopter can take them to their neuter appointment (on contract). Winky, grey and white, and Grumble, tabby, absolutely love eachother and have been best buddies since they were kittens! They are extremely friendly, loving, cuddly, and playful. I am so happy to announce that our gorgeous boy Kessler has been approved for adoption! He will be going home next week to his amazing new Mom who has two wonderful cats that will be his new family! Kessler has two sisters who are still available for adoption! They all have their neuter/spay appointments on September 2! So happy for our beautiful boy!

SOS! Ho’ola Dog Rescue] needs our help! On a recent trip to Mexico, she was alerted to a woman who has 16 cats that she is planning on taking to the shelter to have euthanized. We need to help these sweet babies! Ho’ola Dog Rescue] has been raising money to help these darlings, but we need rescues to help too! Ho’ola is a dog rescue, so we are searching for rescues with cat expertise that can take even 1-2 of these babies! If we can find 8 rescues that can take two of the cats/kittens - that would be amazing! Please DM me if you can help!

Hi everyone. I apologize for the lack of posting, but rescue has been a really difficult time the last few weeks. First, I want to announce that my house has undergone an outbreak of Panleuk, which has pretty much shut down all intake on my end as well as my partner’s end. In the midst of this outbreak, two darling kittens succumbed to the disease, Onyx and Jasper. This happened several weeks ago, but I have only felt ready to post it right now. An amazing rescuer .tsui_founder_ was working to help them, but as many of you know, the mortality rate of Panleuk is high and it’s very hard to combat. Rest in peace Onyx and Jasper❤️

ADOPT WINKY & GRUMBLE: We have two kittens available for adoption - Winky and Grumble. They are under rescue. They are a bonded pair of brothers. They are cat and kid-friendly and are very interested in dogs. They are very cuddly, friendly, loving, and vocal. They love to play and will sit with you around the house while you do work. They can keep themselves busy with one another as well. They are now 14 weeks old.

They are combo test negative for FIV and FelV. They have received their first FVRCP vaccines and they will be neutered in the next few weeks. They will need to be neutered before official adoption.

ADOPT OR FOSTER ONYX: Onyx is a really relaxed, cuddly boy. He really loves to cuddle with his kitten siblings and would likely do great in a household with other cats. He is so gorgeous and has the most interesting black and white coloring on his face and head! He is a little suspicious of humans, but he is still able to be handled. You can pick him up, carry him, etc. he just hasn’t figured out how to walk up to humans and ask for attention. He is more lazy than playful, so a relaxed home would suit him well! ADOPT MARCEL: Marcel’s socialization has been going so well with his new foster. He not only allows pets - he enjoys them! He was begging for pets from his foster mama. We also were finally able to find out that he LOVES other cats! He probably wouldn’t do well with dogs, unless they are seniors or very disinterested in cats. Marcel is very sensitive to chaos and loudness, so a quiet, gentle home works best for him. He also is FIV+. This means he is immunocompromised, so he may be more susceptible to getting sick throughout his life. This also means that he cannot play or roughhouse with other cats. FIV is spread through scratching, biting, fighting, playing. It is possible for FIV+ cats to live with other cats depending on temperament. Generally, we recommend FIV+ cats only live with other FIV+ cats if we cannot guarantee behavior. In spite of all this, Marcel is so ready to go home! He will need a patient owner who can understand he has a trauma history and may need some extra time and TLC!

New additions! Yesterday, I picked up 6 kittens who I was alerted to by my hair dresser. She told me her mother has cats living in her yard and that there were two litters. Four kittens are 10-weeks old and two are 7-weeks old. The mother of the 7-week-old litter supposedly rejected her litter and the finders paired the two young ones with the older litter. Thus, they have all grown up as one litter of different ages. 3 of them are alert, bright, and healthy, while the other 3 are not doing as great. The two young ones have URIs (so they all likely do and are asymptomatic) and they are underweight. We are going to do everything we can for them. The mother cat evidently belongs to my hair dresser’s mother. I let them know the dangers of breeding and what health complications can arise. They agreed to get their cat spayed - which I will be following up on.

MEET PIPPIN, WINKY, and GRUMBLE: These three kittens were rescued by a good samaritan , who found these babies roaming her neighborhood. I just picked them up today! As you can see, Pippin (front center) has a pretty gooey looking URI (upper respiratory infection). I took him and his siblings to the vet, but the other two are not exhibiting symptoms. Pippin has been placed on medicine to help his symptoms and I will be monitoring to see how he and his siblings are doing! They are roughly 7 weeks old so they will not be available for adoption until they are healthy and of age in the next few weeks!

Winky (white and grey) and Grumble (tabby without gooey eyes) are friendly and playful. Pippin needs a little more socialization - he’s a little more timid. But I’m confident he will be just fine in a few weeks.

ADOPT TOBY: Sweet Toby really needs help finding his furever home! We have posted him for over a year now and he’s never had anyone interested in him. Toby is a totally socialized, friendly boy. He isn’t a big fan of other animals. He doesn’t like cats very much because he feels like he has to compete for attention. He tolerates dogs just fine. We don’t recommend him to go to a home with kids purely because he likes to nibble for love and attention.

Toby’s story is a sad one. He was abandoned by his family. His family brought him to the vet to have him euthanized because their newborn baby was allergic to him. The vet did not euthanize him and instead turned him over to the rescue for us to help him. Toby was devastated that his family abandoned him. He resorted to chewing on his skin and causing himself to bleed as a coping mechanism. Thankfully he has recovered from his depressive episode. There is a possibility that he may feel depressed when he goes to a new home, but we believe it will be short-lived once he realizes he is safe and loved.

Toby is a really special boy. He is so sweet and tremendously goofy. He likes to cuddle with you at night and wants to be wherever you are!

MEET LILY: Lily has been at the rescue for almost two years. We have been working on her socialization, although it hasn’t gone too far. Lily is a very happy and content cat to be left by herself. She’s not really a fan of other animals, but she’s fine with them being in her space as long as she doesn’t have to interact with them. She tolerates people and allows her rescuer to get close, but she doesn’t want too much more than that. Lily isn’t really adoptable, but I want to start sharing our socialization kitties so that the public can see that it isn’t all friendly adoptables that need our help. There are other cats with such deep trauma that they may never fully recover from. But we are still here to offer them safety and distant love indoors!

UPDATE: One of our longest-running residents at the rescue has finally found her furever home! We are completing paperwork in the next few days. After spending 2 years in safety and recovering from being a terrified feral, our biggest love bug, Hope, is joining a new home with a kitty brother of her own (she LOVES cats!). Words cannot describe how excited we are that she has finally found her family! Congratulations Hope!

ADOPT NATASHA: 1-year-old sweetheart Natasha doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She can be shy and likes to hide at first. That being said, she is by no means mean or feral. She can be held, pet, and cuddled, but it takes time for her to get comfortable. She loves other cats and does fine with dogs and children. She’s sweet and gentle - a sweet girl working on coming out of her shell!

ADOPT LAYLA: Miss Layla needs a special owner who can help her come out of her shell. Layla is shy and scared. She isn’t very aggressive, but she definitely wants to be in control when it comes to affection and interaction. She could likely open up and socialize with the right person, but this one-year-old girl needs to find the perfect fit. She is cat and dog friendly, but shouldn’t go to a home with kids due to her fearfulness.

Layla had a birth defect in her right eye. This isn’t anything serious but she may require eye drops later in life.

MEET COOKIE: I’m not sure if we have ever introduced Cookie here. Cookie is our sweet senior lady. She is in hospice care at the rescue and is not available for adoption. Cookie was an owner surrender who came to us over a year ago when her owner had to leave the country to be with family. Cookie is old - 16 or 17. In spite of her age, she’s pretty healthy and gets along just fine. Every cat at the rescue seems to understand she is elderly and that she deserves respect. Even our least cat-friendly cats treat her with kindness and love. Cookie is a big character and so gentle and sweet.

ADOPT BUTTERCAKE: Little miss Buttercake is available for adoption through . Buttercake is a little shy, but she is a very gentle and sweet girl. Buttercake really loves to be pet when she’s lounging, but will prefer to come to you if she’s roaming the house. She doesn’t like to be chased. She is estimated 2-years-old and has had at least one kitten litter before (she’s spayed now, of course). She is cat, dog, and older kid-friendly, but would likely do best in a quiet, calm household. She probably wouldn’t want a playful kitty friend, but does well with calmer ones!

MEET WOLFIE: Wolfie has actually been with us for over a year, but we have never formally introduced him. Wolfie is very feral and has not really adjusted to life with humans in spite of his socialization work. We aren’t so sure if he’ll ever grow to like humans, but he does tolerate living with them. He LOVES other cats and gets along fine with dogs. He doesn’t really want to be touched, but he’s fine living in peace with people! He doesn’t get much screen time on Instagram since he’s not quite available for adoption! But I wanted to post him here so everyone can get to know the kitties that need extra socialization help! Wolfie is happy and healthy and doing well indoors!

MEET PHOENIX: A friend of ours who works as a trapper recently stumbled upon and caught this gorgeous boy we have named Phoenix. Phoenix is extremely affectionate and obsessed with making biscuits. He is fearful of loud sounds (but who isn’t!?). When she found him, he was completely flea-ridden, dirty, and had a puncture wound on his neck (pictured in slide 3).

We will be getting Phoenix to the vet ASAP to check on his wound and get him vaccinated and healthy!

ADOPT NATALIE: This beautiful girl is going to a new foster home this week! Natalie is roughly a year old. She is fully vetted and ready to find her furever home. She and her sister, Natasha, joined the rescue in December 2021. They needed some socialization, which Natalie has taken to very quickly! She may be a little shy when she first meets you, but she warms up after a few days and becomes the brave and confident little bean she really is! She loves other cats and does well with dogs and children. She is available alone or alongside her sister (who is not pictured but they look almost exactly alike). UPDATE: All of Mama Juno’s babies are officially going home this week to their new families! Juno herself is still looking for a home! I will be posting her more and more, but she will also be at Petco in Santa Monica if anyone wants to meet her! Additionally, we just rescued a litter of 5 2-week-old babies! Obviously they are nowhere near ready for adoption, but we can’t wait for you to watch their journey!

ADOPT JUNO: Mama bear Juno is available for pre-adoption! She is a very young mama - maybe a year old but likely younger! She needs to be spayed but we are accepting applications for her forever home! Mama is a total sweetheart! She is gentle and so kind-hearted! She has such a calming and beautiful spirit. She would do great as an emotional support animal. One of her babies, Aries, is still available for adoption! We would love if Juno and Aries were adopted together! Juno is at our adoption event at Petco today! Please see our previous post for details!

KITTENS FOR ADOPTION: Alright everyone - we have a family of 6 kittens and their loving mama available for adoption. Mama Juno was found on the street about to give birth when a good samaritan brought her in and called us! Mama Juno gave birth within hours of her entering the foster’s home and she had 6 adorable healthy babies! Those babies are pushing 6 weeks right now and will be available for adoption once they are fully vetted. In the meantime, however, they are available for pre-adoption - meaning you can apply to reserve them for adoption.

All kittens have been raised indoors with humans their whole lives so they are very sociable and sweet. Mama Juno is a very dedicated and loving mama, but she also adores people. She’s very friendly and loves to be pet!

Circe - female, 6 wks
Zeus - male, 6 wks
Iris - female, 6 wks

PET OF THE WEEK: Bruce has two names. His original rescue name Connor, which he never learned to respond to during training. And the name he does respond to - Bruce. Bruce has come a long way! This sweet boy was once untouchable and terrified in a kennel at Devore Animal Shelter where he was euth-listed for being fearful. Once he was rescued, it took a lot of time and love for him to feel safe. It’s been close to a year since he was rescued, and Bruce has turned into an entirely new dog who feels safe and loved in this world! Bruce LOVES being outdoors and will gladly accompany you on hikes or to the beach. He does well with children and loves other dogs. He enjoys being part of a pack. He has had iffy experiences with cats and would definitely need a formal introduction and patience for him to feel comfortable with cats. This active and playful young guy is estimated 2-3 years of age and has a clean bill of health. He is neutered and vetted and ready for his forever home! I will be posting him all week but check out this smiley little face on the trail showing off his brand new skill of walking off-leash!
