I'm sad to report that Monty has passed away. After years of fighting the odds with his multiple health conditions, we made the decision to humanely euthanize him at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Monty will be dearly missed. He was a very, very special cat.

I know I never use this page, but an update for Monty fans: Monty is unfortunately in end stage renal disease. He has really beat the odds for several years now with his acromegaly, and unfortunately his kidneys lost out to the acromegaly-induced cardiac disease and resulting hypertension. We're doing all we can to keep him comfortable, and we have a plan for when his good days are outnumbered by his bad days. Unfortunately, that could be any time, or it could be in a few weeks. He likely only has days left, and I'm just trying to keep it all together right now. I have to thank my friends (veterinary and otherwise) for their support and assistance at this time. Anyway, here is a photo of my handsome man from happier times.

I am extremely troubled by the bunny in the yard. IT IS EATING MY GRASS! I may have to make some sort of arrangement with one of the female cats to 'take care of it'.
