HELP US FIND OUR NEW HOME

The rescue is again in search of a home. Unfortunately our current place has turned out to be only temporary 😔 But hopefully that means an even more amazing place is just around the corner.

We need:

- Zoning for a kennel liscence
- Location must be in compliance with kennel liscence requirements (land size, distance from neighbours etc)
- Ideally 100+ acres, but at minimum whatever meets the kennel liscence requirements for that area.
- Ideally within 3hrs of St. Catharines, but will consider up to 5hrs for the right location.
- A usable structure/home on site that we can upgrade/modify would be ideal, but happy to put one up with permission if you just have land available.
- Looking to RENT ASAP.
- Budget depends on what is available/upgrades needed to make it work.

WISHFUL WEDNESDAY

Good Morning Everyone ☀️ Rum had a good first night. He's a bit confused by his new routine, but taking it in stride, and eating well. Being really good about eating his medicated meatballs also 😁

As I did his morning walk around the field I was hit with a lot of sadness. I hate that we are losing this place. I wish I could wave a magic wand and undo whatever it was that changed this path, but I can't. I'm faced with big decisions and so worried I'm going to make the wrong one yet again. I keep trying to move forward, but worried I'm just sinking deeper instead. Feeling very lost right now, and trying not to rush anything. But also only have 5 weeks left to come up with a plan which is terrifying. I have one option that I am chasing. It's not perfect, but it's all we have on the horizon at the moment. I wish that a clear sign, a positive sign would make itself known and be like, "yes, this 100% the right thing to do". Or a winning lottery ticket 😅

But, I do know, whatever today brings, funds are needed! We have many, MANY vet bills to pay. We have day to day costs to cover. And we have our future to fund. I hope that this message reaches all our followers, so that we can meet these goals, and continue into tomorrow 🤞 Please share ❤️

This beautiful girl is Durian's half sister, and full sister to alumni Lavender and Lilac. Cassia helped me out with that large intake (10 puppies/2 litters!), and kindly took this girl in. HIP #1 DONE!!

And apparently he's full of beans, lol! I will be keeping him with me always so we don't have any slip and falls like we did with poor Jolly. I'm also happy to report that Jolly's test came back negative so he's good to go ahead and get the surgery for the ball replacement done. So I'm just waiting to receive that date. We have had four wonderful people donate today, which honestly went straight to the gas tank. I'll post the financials later, but it was just over $7100 for Rum, plus I picked up Nellie, and Durian's food which is about 300 bucks I believe. This puts our account at over $12,000 ( and that's just April expenses 😅 )!! Please don't forget it's Toonie Tuesday. If everyone sends $2 today, we would cut out two-thirds of that easily. Every little bit counts. Please help us keep providing the very best of care to our dogs, until they find their forever homes!

IT'S TOONIE TUESDAY!

Good Morning Everyone ☀️ Surprise! Rum is having surgery today 🫣 Dr. John reached out yesterday as there was a cancellation so he could bump him up from June until today! There wasn't much notice, and it was a bit exhausting making it work, but I managed to get myself up this morning, and there on time to drop him off! He was a very good boy at drop off, and even let them walk him to the back with minimal fuss. Unlike Jolly who has to get carried back, lol! As wonderful as it is for him to get his surgery sooner, this adds $7300 to $7800 to our vet expenses this month 😱😱😱

HOWEVER! If y'all have done your taxes like you're supposed to ;-), you should be getting a deposit from the government today! Which means you might have $2 to donate towards his surgery 🥺 If every follower on the page donates $2 today, his surgery will be just about covered! I know we've all been struggling lately, but hopefully this little extra money will allow you there some change for Rum, and all the dogs here at Inugoya ❤️ Every Toonie makes a difference!!
