She’s found all the snuggly beds and blankets, and has become quick friends with her foster siblings both human and furry.

Suzie & Lucy are 7 year old girls with hearts full of love, looking for their second chance.

Today we are celebrating by introducing Ace’s Place Animal Rescue’s very own founder and president… Ace! 💗

Ace has been working in rescue for nine years and has been fostering for over five years. Three years ago Ace and her husband decided to start Ace’s Place Animal Rescue. They had worked with and fostered for other rescues, and were shocked by the lack of support they received as fosters. Their foster dogs received little to no supplies and vet care from the rescues. Ace felt alone and helpless while she fostered. She knew that rescue could be done better, and that’s why she decided to start her own rescue.

Through a lot of hard work and dedication, Ace has created her own rescue that prioritizes fosters and provides a foster experience that she wished she had when she first began fostering.

Ace has a special place in her heart for fearful dogs, littermate syndrome cases, and cattle dogs. Her favorite part of running Ace’s Place is the freedom rides, and seeing the outstanding transformation of our behavioral and medical cases.

Ace is the core of Ace’s Place Animal Rescue and we are so grateful for all she does to keep this rescue running and thriving. Ace’s heart and hard work has saved so many dog’s lives and has provided hope and support for many burnt out fosters and rescuers. She wears many hats and plays several different roles within the rescue, which is why we are so thankful for everything she does every single day. Ace is truly a special person, and we are happy to celebrate all that she is and all that she does on Team Tuesday!💗 Share your love and encouragement for Ace in the comments below!

Maple is the BEST girl. She is…

🍁Knows her basic commands
🍁Pitbull mix (maybe with basset hound based on her short little legs!)

Maple’s foster describes her as the silliest, sweetest, goofiest most lovable low-rider house hippo you will ever meet! She will do anything for a snack or for affection. Her adorable short legs and silly shorts will steal your hearts.

She is extremely playful and great with other larger dogs, but does prefer submissive dogs! She is amazing in her crate and will do best crated at home when her humans are gone. Her foster notes that she also prefers to be fed separately from her dog siblings.

She is so loved in her foster home but is ready to find her forever home soon 💗

We firmly believe in supporting great new ethical rescues across Texas. We were once a small rescue without much help or guidance. We would like to give back quarterly with our Rising Star Rescue Grant to new animal rescues. This $500 grant, plus additional supplies, could have helped us immensely our first year. We could have done so much good with it to help us grow. We want to offer that opportunity to a new rescue who shares our values. We hope you will support this effort to help cultivate new ethical rescues each quarter. Qualifications: 🌟 Must obtain your 501c3 or have filed for one 🌟 Must have been a rescue LESS than 1 year 🌟 Must be a Texas rescue Grant funding award is $500 PLUS additional supplies and meeting with the Ace’s Place Animal Rescue team for advice and how to get started into ethical rescue practices. To apply, please email us at [email protected] to receive an application. Applications are due October 1st.
