AJ

With my SD card being damaged, I lost a lot of photos and videos of the cats whoch were thousands and had not been posted due to shortage of time being a solo feeder, rescuer and foster. These are the only photos that remained 😞

This is AJ, a once thin passer-by cat looking for food but now has become a communitt cat under my care. He has been a strong male cat who endured a face injury that I found one day during feeding time.

With the help of donations, I was able to take AJ to the vet for check up and wound treatment with a week.of medication. Without the help of donors, AJ got a chance to be vetted and got cured. He recovered well.

Feed if you cannot rescue.
Foster if you cannot adopt.
Donate if you cannot foster.

I PRAY FOR ANIMALS DURING DISASTER and NATURAL CALAMITIES

The past few weeks have been hard for me and the past few days even made it harder to see animals suffer during typhoon Kristine.

Despite countless post reminders of various animal groups and advocates to not abandon nor leave your pets behind or unleash/uncage them during times of disaster, feed showed same loss of precious lives which should not have been lost.

Now with the new incoming typhoon, I do pray for God to protect His 4-legged animals. At times of when nature strikes, their lives, too, matter.

UPDATE ON BEBU:

After many attempts to catch Bebu and secure him in a carrier to be taken to the vet, we were able to finally do it. It has been a struggle for the both of us but more to him.

ATTEMPT TO CAPTURE:
Before my work, during the morning session of strays feeding, there was always a ready carrier but the first attempt failed making him suspicious and distant. Second attempt failed which stressed him (I felt bad 😓) so I let days passed before another attempt. Third attempt was suspended as he seemed aloof, doubtful and defensive.

WEATHER as a constraint:
However as sudden and unexpected rains made me more worried and frustrated, it was now or never. I could not let him be more exposed outside which might make his open wound worse.

PRE-VET FIRST AID DONE:
The good thing is that despite the hardship of catching him, I was able to medicate him with anti inflammatory and pain reliever. Those made him better and was able to eat again normally. After a week, I transitioned him to multivitamins for his immune system and vitamin C for his resistance to anymore possible sickness.

POST CAPTURE PREDICAMENTS:
The day of capture after letting him calm down and relax, I booked a GrabPet and since an hour passed and there was no taker, I tried taking a 4-seater saver but refused due to having to load an injured animal and was recommended GrabPet instead which was a no-taker in my area.

FIRST AID EFFECT:
Bebu's open wound has evidently and greatly has improved with the help of onhand first aid kit, medication and vitamins provided while we had been waiting for financial support. His other wounds have healed and his neck wound even if it's closing, Bebu still needs vet check up for expert assessment.

Due to work, Sunday only being my day, we are also on a constricted time. But my only relief is that finally Bebu is with me and him being close means I can monitor him, feed him and always ready if ever we get to finally have a ride to the vet clinic.

Praying for not only people but also animals affected by hurricane Milton. There will always be casualties in times like this which is really hard to accept and heartbreaking but at least save most.

As I worry of the cats, rescues, fosters and other strays I care for and a few dogs, it would be small portion of what animals in other parts of the world.

Sometimes I think this is only what I can do for a number almost reaching 100 cats alone, not including the stray dogs I also check from time to time and the random street animals I come acros while there is an enormous number of animals in different parts of the world needing rescuers and feeders and protectors.

At times like hurricane, earthquakes, typhoon and other natural disasters, pet owners should be prepared. Animals have better chances of survival if they are not leashed, tied or caged. These are also the moment we never leave anyone behind; like a family, these animals are, too. 🙏❤️

I find relief knowing there are many people risking their lives to save the animals. The courage in this act is not only honorable but noble. There are so many people who have been showing true humanity by saving the lives of these animals.

Rescue shelters across the US provided housing for animals that were evacuated before the hurricane struck

Fantastic 4: JOHN

Tammy, one of my rescue I have been fostering had a litter of 4. John was the second kitten, a feisty ginger male kitten.

Last night while I was putting Kitty (a kitten who ran after me one night after strays feeding), John found a spot on my tummy to sleep.

Just as Kitty slept somewhere around my neck, I saw John found comfort here and I realized how fulfilling it is to foster. Not only you get to save lives and provide them care and love they deserve but to receive such a warm gesture when he chooses to sleep on you rather on their blankets is so rewarding.

They are the sweetest creatures and I can live the rest of my life... just... like... this... ❤️
