Ever fancied growing your own mushrooms đŸ„â€đŸŸ« but cant be bothered faffing around with logs? đŸȘ”

Our Wine Cap growing kit contains enough grain spawn to create a 1 sq.m mushroom bed, grow a small hay bale of mushrooms or even grow them in pots on your patio.

They fruit 2-3 times per year (spring, summer and autumn) and after the first year can be used to create multiple new beds, tripling your mushroom growing year after year!

We also have the May box from , containing everything needed to grow Borlotto Beans đŸ«˜ , Blue Scotch Kale đŸ„Ź and even Salad Nasturtiums đŸŒș!

We’re here until 2pm, so get here quick as once these qre gone it’s unlikely we’ll be able to make more! 💹

No option but to cancel with forecasted winds on Sunday, but if anybody would like their micro greens, micro salad mixes or gift items delivering, including April’s box from The Tub Club Social, please message us and we’ll get it arranged.

Thanks.

Cancelled - this Sunday's Market April 7th
The wind speeds are too high for us to have the market on Sunday, it's just too dangerous. Many apologies - next Market will be May 5th

Will you be in Marple tomorrow and it just so happens you’ve always wanted to grow your own Turkish Orange Aubergines, Medania Spinach & Chives? Or maybe you’d like to grow microgreens on your windowsill, or Lion’s Mane and Pearl Oyster mushrooms on logs? Or maybe, you’d just like to grow UK native wildflowers in an unloved part of your garden?

Whatever you need, we’ll be at tomorrow with growing kits of every type available now that Spring is sprunging.

When you’ve leased a small growing space which also includes the rights to the wild garlic growing in the woods! 😍

Beyond excited for this year, we’ve a lot to do to clear the overgrown shrubs (after a decade of neglect), but we’ll get there eventually.

This tiny harvest will become wild garlic focaccia, with a little taster going out to today’s delivery customers.

If you’re interested just drop us a DM and we’ll add you to the list, but amounts will be limited as we don’t want to overdo it so get in early.

Have you tried freshly foraged wild garlic?

If you’re only here for our lovely microgreens and have no interest in growing fruit, veg & herbs at home then this isn’t for you, but if you are, read on!

At every market we visit, we meet loads of people who tells us that they wish they could grow their own veg, but they don’t have the skills, space, equipment, the list goes on.

We’ve been busy putting together what we think are bloody brilliant boxes which provide absolutely everything anyone, even you, needs to grow 3 varieties of fruit, veg and herbs every month with jargon-free guides and WhatsApp support.

If you’re interested, or know someone that might be, please give us a follow, like & share at

On Friday, we helped to plant 250 saplings at the King George V playing fields in Middleton. A mix of species that included oak, birch and hawthorn were planted, creating much needed habitats for wildlife in a well-visited community park.

I don’t want to tempt fate, but we’ve checked on them since and they’re still there, which is a good start.

They have projects all over the Greater Manchester, planting trees to create better, greener places; to boost health and wellbeing; to enhance green skills; and to tackle the climate and biodiversity emergency so please check them out to see if you can help.

The longer sunlight hours are getting noticeable now, so we’re starting to think about all things green and growing again.

January’s spent planning; there’s not an awful lot to do when the ground is either mud or frozen solid.

What’s this ridiculously large WhatsApp logo doing on my feed you might well ask?

Well, I’ve finally managed to sort out our business WhatsApp account, thanks to the lull in activity that January inevitably brings.

So, if you need anything, you’ll find a nifty contact button on our profile that’ll let you hop straight into a chat with us on WhatsApp.

Like I said. Nifty.

Here’s a gentle reminder to get your chilli seeds started to give them a nice long growing season!

A bright, sunny windowsill and temps of 20C+ will see you right (the really hot varieties need 30C+!), with germination taking around 7-14 days, with the seeds kept damp but not wet to prevent rotting.

There are loads of varieties out there, from mild padron and large cherry peppers through to Nagas and Carolina Reapers that’ll have you questioning your life choices.

If you’d like to try some of the easier to grow varieties just drop us a DM, we still have our chilli growing kits available for just £10.
