So after several failed attempts to have some babies, Ms. Sakari is finally ready. She has been working for several days on her nest and she is due on the 22nd.
PS is there honestly anything cuter than a bunny with a hay mustache!?🤗🥰

My very first litter of New Zealand’s!! Pippa (blue) and Pardon (broken black) 8 babies born today! 6 broken (either blue or black) and 2 what look like blues!
I’m so excited! Pippa didn’t do too good at getting them in the nest box 🤦🏼‍♀️she had them behind the nest box! 😂
That’s ok, I moved them and she’s sitting right in front of the nest box now and the babies are all sleeping🤗

The satin babies got to get out and run around today! Shadow (blue) was trying to figure out how to free Finnigan and Shade (black) was taking advantage of the bail of hay out of the barrel

Y’all remember Finnigan my broken blue New Zealand buck? He’s growing so fast! He’s so beautiful! I open his cage door every morning and he climbs out onto me so he can get down and run around. Today he was visiting Shadow and Shade the satin babies

Some exciting news!!! I’ve added yet a third (and final) breed of bunnies to my rabbitry!
(Netherland Dwarfs, New Zealand and now Satins)
This is Shadow, the blue satin buck, and Shade, the black satin doe. A big thanks to Bonnie Chatten for not only introducing this beautiful breed to me, but even more so, making a 5 hour round trip drive to bring them to me!!
I will be breeding these two this summer! I’m over the moon excited to see their adorable kits!!

I am adding a new breed to my rabbitry!
New Zealand’s!!
Meet my broken black buck Pardon the Pardoned and my blue doe Princess Prudence!
Expect babies in the spring!
Ps. Although New Zealand’s are known for their large size and people do raise them for meat, I will not be practicing that type of breeding and/or selling. I am in no way condemning the practice, I just choose not to participate. My New Zealand kits will be sold to pet or show homes.

She is weaned from her momma
and has her own cage.
Bean is a sable marten, Netherland Dwarf.
She will be staying at Jenn’s Country Bunkens where she will start the shaded color line in my rabbitry.
So excited to see what the future holds for this pint size doe! 🥰

6 1/2 weeks old! I’m so happy she made it!
She doesn’t get pushed around one bit! she’s a mighty little trooper.

Bunny school started today! Pebbles is trying to teach her babies the A’s and B’s of being proper bunnies. They appeared to me to be paying attention, but when I sprinkled their oats on their hay, I heard one yell, recess!! And away they went 🤷🏼‍♀️
