She can FLY! Stitches out, ecollar off and no more t-shirt. She is officially Junie now and leaves for her new home in just minutes. Only 4.5oz at birth she made it through so many challenges and defied the odds. Run fast, grow big and make the Collie world proud.
Huge thank you to surgeon Dr. Clark (Veterinary Surgery of New England) and all Junie's support team at Sugar River Animal Hospital, PLLC. (Especially, Dr. Catherine and Olivia!) She wouldn't have made it without you.
She's excited about our long weekend! OK, so really she's excited about a weed, but it's almost the same thing. # 3legs3xthejoy
Look at her go!!! Looking stylish in a blue fabric ecollar and gray t shirt. Paisley (soon to be rechristened Junie) is unsurprisingly exceeding expectations for recovery. Shhh, just don't tell, she's not supposed to be off leash yet.....
She's out of surgery and recovering well. Tail was wagging after only a few hours.

Her surgery is this week. Join me in wishing Paisley an uncomplicated operation and a speedy recovery. Her new family is anxiously waiting to meet her post rehab.
Ace (Basil) and his marvelous young handler/trainer. I'm so impressed with how his training is progressing. She's really talented and obviously hardworking.
Her new family is helping her learn her manners, but she's still a sassy little beastie. Pepper being Pepper.
I'm so lucky that my puppy families keep me updated and let me share these little moments with them.
Cozy has not been around running water yet and was hesitant to wade in on our recent hike....I brought out the floating cookies. Now that she knows rivers spawn biscuits, she's a huge fan!
Baby Chevron (now Dagger) stayed on for a little board and train. His owners had a vacation planned that would have made puppy go home date hard on the puppy. Here he is practicing sit to greet with my 15yr old.
She's using body pressure as a cue with the verbal and I think he's ready for her to fade that out.
Pepper (New name pending) has settled into her new home. They're helping her put all that energy to good use.
Pepper full of beans this morning
Here's part of Gingham's evaluation. She did really well with the agility and exposure to wheels. Saffron and Argyle were the other two that really stood out here. Basil was interesting as he went right to work with careful deliberateness...he didn't need to investigate the room first like the other puppies. He wasn't fast, but he was attentive and observant, he took it seriously. We had no puppies who didn't want to participate.
