2024 wine making at Mudgee Urban Vineyard, these Cabernet canes started their lives 40 years ago on our vineyard at Apple Tree Flat.. and clones were planted in town at our urban vineyard in 2021.. next year an even bigger harvest!

Harvesting lavender this morning, this is 1 of 50 bushes. I cut way down to the base of the plant, then trim the lavender as it goes into the vase or bouquet. Cutting down means no further pruning is needed.. so a real job saver!

In October 2020 Mike and I started prep work for our urban vineyard, cutting garden and kitchen orchard.. this is our story of the vineyard. Mike and Anthony worked the ground in October and in September the Cabernet Sauvignon vines which we brought with us from were planted. Just 100 vines, today 2 years along they are on the wire and will produce a small amount of fruit this year. The kitchen orchard is galloping along as the cutting garden is!
