Most recent food preservation: the kraut from a couple-few weeks back is done! So, Sunday we jarred up 36 quarts and 8 pints of fresh fermented goodness. We keep about half of that raw & in the fridge and the other half we process in the canner for longer shelf life. I aim eat about ¼ to ½ cup of the raw kraut daily for good gut health and because its delicious. ​

In general, society thrives on misery, commiserating, & other negative yuck. But, we GET to choose joy. Regardless of what we're going through, we GET to find our strength, and ultimately JOY, in Jesus.

Welllll.... the 'coming soon' didn't happen & naturally brought to you by ADHD side quests!

BUT - I did get my workspace cleaned. Because my ADHD wouldn't let me create in chaos. So, I cleaned first.

THEN, I made 2 batches of soap. And still didn't finish the 'coming soon' project. There's always tomorrow.

Bebe is now an estimated 3 weeks old and its really starting to show some personality! I think he's tried hissing at me! And sometimes, when he tries playing, he bites! Its like tiny & ineffective, but hilarious. Attack: 8/10 Damage: -10/10

A dear friend cued me into a that I cannot believe that I was not aware of! Wonder Woman Day is celebrated annually on October 21, marking the anniversary of Wonder Woman's first appearance in comics in 1941.

If you know me in real life, you know that is one of my favorite things ever. I even have a 3/4 sleeve of her on my arm, done in the stylings of Gil Elvgren.

She's even the background of my phone's lock screen, shown here, with my "daily reminders" so I can see her & them everyday.

WW has always been a woman I looked up to. She fights for what's right. She's a helper. She embodies strength. But she's also kind and caring. Truth and justice are at the core of her tenets.

Tried a new (to me) sourdough recipe today - Croissant Sourdough Loaf. It was so good, started making the second before we'd hardly even tasted the first!

We made the first one into hot ham & cheese sammiches.

I think next weekend, I might try turning these into individual-sized bread bowls.
