Ace is a lovely gentle boy, walking well on a lead he would adapt well to a home that has a big garden / paddocks for him to roam.
He currently divides his time between inside the shelter and outside.

He’s quick to learn and very intelligent.

These types of dogs like to mooch around their domains and keep watch on their place.

He’s only 2, his life has just started - but there isn’t a good ending in sight. Life outside is tough, Life inside is tough.

He could live with cats and children, and no reason why not livestock too… it’s in his blood. Careful and slow introductions would be key.

He learns fast and very obedient.

This sweet hairy boy was left in front of the gates of the shelter last year, with all these other puppies.

They have all stayed small but this special soft boy has grown .. look how gentle he is.. he is going to be a fantastic family addition.. 🤩 who will be the lucky one ?

He needs his own place in a home to call his own… all these pups are friendly and homeless destination shelter life if they don’t find homes 🙁

Rahilka is NOT a Collie type… she’s not high energy as a Collie would be.
Watching over her flock and walks and outings would suit her well - once she has adjusted to being home.

5 years of shelter life is enough for her now, living in a wooden house in all extremes of weather, freezing in Winter and hitting the Forties in Summer…

She spends a lot of time in a kennel or just moping around the place… can you imagine 5 years living in space no bigger than your your garden ?

She is depressed.. and needs her own home, somewhere out there her home is waiting..

She is a guardian breed type NOT Collie type - she’s the same colour but not high energy like a collie.

These type of dogs are medium activity - loving lots to watch over and observe.
Large size, gentle, intelligent dogs.

She could live with cats, and also to dog savvy children With a home that can offer her space and time out.

This beauty hasn’t had much luck, picked up and saved as a pup..she has been 5 years in the shelter - last year we tried looking for a home for her and her bonded pair and failed - LIBRA going home alone, while Medena sits and waits - nothing changes for her except the weather.

Another golden soul, but understandably fed up of the same, same life the shelter brings.

Originally abandoned on the streets and picked up for the TNR ( Trap, Neuter, Release ) … Marija couldn’t let her go…
She’s kept her safe -BUT we all know they are never really safe until they are home - and it seems that no one has seen what a fab girl she is.

Playful, calm natured and just waiting to pack her bags.

She’s waited a year now in the shelter - black dogs are statistically the last to go home ☹️

Bonded Pairs … such a special rehome always done by special people - when dogs have spent all their life in a shelter it’s so lovely to see them home together.

I understand that not everyone has room for two BUT there are advantages ..

So many dogs when in an open shelter and small space get picked on.
Dogs that are frustrated and bored will become triggerstacked and pick on smaller / more anxious dogs.

Diamond is a lovely playful boy but he’s been picked on continuously, and so seeks a nice quiet corner to hide in.
It’s not until most of the dogs are in siesta time he comes out to play.
Dogs like this usually, when placed in a home, blossom and flourish - sometimes if they wait too long, he will be another one to add to the “ no longer here list “

Shelter life provides only basic needs.

He’s just waiting for someone to stick their hand up for him. He just needs to be loved and home.

When taking a dog you will get all you need to set your dog up for success. Plenty of preadoption advice / what to buy / what to expect ..and also for the first weeks or months, however long you need - a daily check in to see how well you are all doing.
Although they’ve never lived in a home before housetraining comes pretty quick.
Usually a couple of days.

There will be checks and a transport fee to cover.

⛳️⛳️⛳️The Demolition Puppies ⛳️⛳️⛳️

These pups were lucky, I can’t tell you how many pups Marija has tried to save and lost them, either through Parvo, disappearing or worse.

As per usual she had found these puppies and tried to keep them safe from disease and their biggest enemy people .. to vaccinate them to eventually bring them to the shelter or feed on their location.

This one time she chose a derelict house that she’d used before for different pups and everyday would go to feed them. ( see the video )

Then after a few weeks she went and found that the house had been demolished … she was frantic at the sight but all was well 1,2,3 …. Where was the 4th one ? Searching all over for hours she couldn’t find her … her heart was heavy, you never get used to the misery.

A few days later 😍 no 4, now Sausage ( she’s sausage shaped ) appeared at the shelter door with a bloodied face - relief all around, amazingly she had found her siblings and Marija.

Thes pups need out. They are such happy pups and well socialised … but their world is small - the shelter can’t be their happy ending ..

Somewhere out there is their happy ending … let’s get them seen … and get them home

2 of the 18 puppies taken in last summer … 😐 Friendly little things all small size.. some smaller than others - need a home - so they don’t spend all their lives in this shelter like so many have before them.

Uber friendly, can go home together OR alone … if you take 2 there will be a reduced fee.

Having 2 is double the fun - double the love and you are saving 4 lives … saving the 2 and leaving room for 2 more.

Both sisters and 2 of many left in a box at the public shelter.

They are bothe ready to travel soon ..vaccinated, microchipped and 4 d tested.

They NEED to get out of here …many of he dogs saved and put in this shelter have lived their whole lives on a small yard. Taking the sweltering hot summers and extreme winters as they come 😵‍💫
