Um, hello, I have some questions?
Great! Let me go ahead and add a few FAQ’s
Q: where are you located? A: I’m located about 5 minutes from town, beside of Altec! I will be doggy sitting out of my house, in my basement.
Q: ew, your basement? That sounds cold and scary.
A: actually, our basement is part of our central heat and air system, fully furnished with a sink, sanitation supplies, refrigerators, a projector for Netflix, chill out mats and couches, and chairs, AND we’re adding some fun decor painted on the walls, and is definitely dog-friendly in case someone gets a little ✨excited✨ and tinkles.
Q: my dog isn’t dog-friendly…?
A: ideally, this is a socialization project for dogs who like to be entertained while mom and dad are at work or need a moment. If it’s a slow day, there are ways to keep the rotation of the day so that your pooch can participate alone (away from other dogs)
Q: what’s up with your prices???
A: I did a lot of research before making my pricing sheet. I’ve compared my prices to those out of Asheville and adjusted to what would be fair for burnsville. This isn’t just a dog-sitting gig where I sit on the couch and hang out with your dog. This is for canine enrichment. I know that this is mainly for a select target audience. Your BFF will be socializing, having outdoor time, working puzzles, and will stay keen on commands and may even come home learning a new trick!
Q: I’m not sure how my dog will fit in with the others
A: I’d love to do a meet-n-greet/ slow introduction before just letting them loose together. Also, I’m not a full-fledge business, so I will be doing at most 3 dogs per time slot for the time being.
Q: what if the dogs get in a fight?
A: I will be attentive at all times. The dogs will not be left alone in a group. I have been trained in canine intervention having worked at a legitimate canine daycare in Asheville by a professional dog trainer. None of these methods include spanking/hitting/hurting your friend.
