Almost 2 weeks watching this pair of Beagles for the first time. Buddy is attached to my hip while Coco enjoys sunbathing in the grass for HOURS. Luckily, we've had some cool and enjoyable weather. 💞

Tested out making my first flavors of loofah for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, & other small pets! Strawberry & blueberry. They small amazing & the color turned out better than expected! So vibrant 🥰

Today was lots of fun with Blanche. It had been a while! 75° & super windy, this girl & I got to sit and hang outside for an hour drop-in visit while her pawrents were out until dinnertime. ❤️

Had a great weekend with Poppy girl again. She has become one of my most regular clients! She loves our 2x/daily mile walk near the farm. Sadly, the llamas were not out at this time & Poppy was NOT having it!

ATTENTION Pet Parents!

A chemical used in Milk-Bones, Ol’Roy, Kibbles’n Bits, Hill’s Pet Food and other pet foods should no longer be considered safe for consumption due to concerns about its ability to damage DNA according to a new animal-model study.

According to the Environmental Working Group: “A scientific panel created by the European Food Safety Authority found that titanium dioxide “can no longer be considered as safe when used as a food additive.” The panel, citing concerns about titanium dioxide’s genotoxicity, or its ability to damage DNA, based its conclusion on a review of hundreds of scientific studies. EWG called on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to quickly consider whether to ban titanium dioxide from use in food."

A chemical that may damage our pet's DNA should not be fed to pets.

Please do not buy. Throw them away if your dog gets one as a gift. Giving rawhide to a dog is never a good idea.

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulfide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colors and the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Haven't posted since July, but by no means does this mean the pets don't need extra attention and care! August, September, & October were FULL! I think I slept in my own home only a total of about 7 days each month. Finishing off a 20-day stay with Chloe the Corgi tomorrow. Another round of 4 stays this month with only a couple nights in between are to follow! Love the busy pup life! Be sure to check on availability for holidays, it will go FAST! Also already have stays in Jan, Feb, March, & April 2022, so don't snooze on Spring Break plans!!

When I'm not watching over your pets, I'm volunteering at a local rabbit rescue. I've watched these guys go from closed eyes/ears to floofy babies that run around like crazy. They have quite a couple months before they can be adopted, but I definitely already called DIBS on one of the brown spotted ones. Enjoy the pictures, they are too cute.
