My original kennel page was taken down for some reason (you can read about later). Please take a minute to read about my "Canis Magnus Kennels" (www.cmkga.com). My kennels are my retirement business. I taught public school and college for over 30 years. During that time and up to now, over the past 15+ years, I have tried to maintain the best care for my dogs and my facilities while establishing many considerate and authentic relationships with those who get a dog(s) from me. The veterinarians I use, my on-staff vet tech, and my past customers can attest to that as well.
Through my kennels I provide mostly companion dogs, along with hunting dogs, search and rescue, search and recovery and much more, all for quality people. My customers want quality animals that have been well cared for and are well socialized. I’ve grown this into a top kennel in the country in over 15+ years. As a result, my pups go all over the world, all over the country, and to local owners. I have sold pups to professional athletes, Olympic athletes, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, teachers, medical doctors, construction supervisors, truck drivers, retired military, active military, neighbors, families with young children, retired adults, young adults, neighbors, veterinarians, and the list goes on. The kennel has improved every year because among other things it is a quality kennel with quality pedigrees and I treat people as I would want my family treated. As a result I have people I still stay in touch with who have had dogs for many years and several families that have purchased a 3rd and one family with four of my dogs.
I also help the community in many ways. Through my kennels every year I donate pups to groups that support fundraisers for veterans’ groups, children’s groups, medical groups, police departments, and more. Most recently I have donated to Shepherd’s Men in Atlanta and the Hall County Police department. In the past few years I have also donated to the Be the Match program with Emory University, Children’s Health Care of Atlanta and numerous other programs that are non-profit and seek to help others or to make the community a better place.
There was an article written recently about my kennels along with another kennel. The focus of the article was on how to recognize a responsible breeder. You can search “Local Access WDUN responsible breeders”. I am that responsible breeder. Please feel free to schedule a visit to the kennels anytime. The best part of the job is getting to meet people and try to help them find their new family members.
This is my third attempt to keep my kennel (Canis Magnus - www.cmkga.com) page updated. It was taken down due to some inciteful and false claims and a very angry old man (who has never met me or seen my kennels) who craftily found his way into a group or club on Facebook. The way Facebook works I can’t find out how or why exactly it was removed but the original and second one are both gone, literally without a trace. The bitter old guy has all but admitted having contributed to their removal. I don’t know if this page will last or not.
Regarding Healthcare: We do the best we can but with any animals, humans included, there are always some parasites and disease that very rarely creep in, but they do show up from time to time. How we deal with those things is what is most important. We keep strict records for all our pre-treatments and our protocols for evaluation and treatment when things pop up. I have several employees that help me clean and feed and a vet tech on staff that keeps up with all the meds and their records. The pens typically get daily cleaning with deep cleaning every other day. If there are questions or concerns you can bet that you will get an honest and documented response. We are also inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and are a licensed facility. The AKC also inspects the kennels. So any claims of anything inappropriate on our part is spoken out of ignorance or malice.
