7/19/24 Great news! Nellie is safely back home!

UPDATE 7/16/24: Nellie went missing on a Friday night and was seen the following morning ..but not since! For those local, please help by checking outdoor cameras and properties (under/around sheds, decks, porches etc..)! If you know of anyone who may have recently acquired a dog who looks similar or have any information at all - Please call Nellie's family asap 413-537-2923.

Missing Dog!! , 7/12/24, “Nellie” is a shy female Australian Cattle Dog. She is 6 months old/35 lbs., and has black ears, white and black speckles, and a Bentley Mark on her forehead. Nellie is missing from the area of Masterson Road and Haydenville Road near Brookledge Sugarhouse. Please report sightings and do not chase or call out.

Please call Nellie's family with any sightings at 413-537-2923.

Trace and Jinx are still available for adoption. Fixed and ~8months old. Message Devon if interested. They are ready for their own permanent family. They survived outside as kittens and deserve better. They are with a foster who has been patiently teaching them about the inside life. Inside homes only please. They have had enough outside. Hi all, Facebook disabled The Feral Dogs of Avondale Mills page- I am beyond angry as of course there is no one you can call, email or get answers from. They in no way should have had their page disabled. Due to the important nature of the work they do they created this one. They have gone thru the social media nightmare of telling Facebook they shouldn’t be disabled, they appealed their decision and now are filing a complaint with them, but it says it may or may not be looked at and if so it can take many months before they do so. Yikes!! If anyone I know can help correct this I welcome the assist.

In the meantime, please like this new page and share it so they can get up and running again.

We are a 501c3 Rescue who assist with helping unwanted animals in the Sylacauga Community.

Kiya is absolutely adorable folks. So, so sweet. Purrs like crazy and loves to be pet. She is waiting for her spay appointment, but is adoptable so let Devon know if you are interested by sending a message and we will talk details. We cannot believe someone left her to fend for herself. She is so little and loving.

My name is Lucas and my foster mom saved me from an awful place. I am coming out of my shell little by little and would love to go to a loving family. A quiet home would be best. I think small children and dogs would be scary for me right now. My foster mom requires an adoption agreement, vet references, and a home inspection. There will be a small rehoming fee as well. Spayed, rabies, dewormed, first distemper shot.

Hello all,

There is a female ~2-3yr old colony cat we trapped early January to get fixed with the hope to see if she could be tamed enough to be adopted as a house cat. We sadly think she would be happier as a barn cat. Anyone out there interested in bringing Mama Bear to your barn/garage to be safe at night and fed and cared for as a barn cat? FOSTERS NEEDED TO HELP SOCIAL THESE FERAL CATS

Hello all. I have partnered with someone to help capture some feral cats in Greenfield the past few weeks. I am thrilled to report we were successful in trapping all 8. We have a few in foster care, a couple being adopted, but we need help with the rest. You see, they are scared, shy, but adorable and have the potential to warm up if we can find the right people to foster/adopt them. I wonder if any of you have room/patience to open your home/heart for these wonderful kittens. They are estimated to be 5-6 months old.

Hi cat loving friends.

I am working with another woman to trap a number of cats in Greenfield that have sadly multiplied due to someone dumping an unfixed mom a couple years ago. Needless to say there are two litters she has already had and we are very worried she may be pregnant again. We have successfully trapped four with more to go.

At this time we have been unsuccessful getting support from any rescues or Dakin so we are doing it on our own. If we have to Trap Neuter Release we will, however if we have people willing to try and tame them we would love to let you try. We do think it is possible at least for some we have now. Message me if you are interested in learning more.

Lastly, because it is us just trying to do good and not have hundreds of cats multiplying and fending for themselves the cost of fixing these ferals is on us. Cost of fixing a feral is $45 and if you have it in your heart and wallet to donate to this project we would be most grateful. Any amount will help. You can venmo or PayPal me just send a message and I’ll send my info.

Photo is of three of the four we caught so far. We got the torty gal fixed Thursday. The others go Tuesday.

Hi all. Check out this post and share your cat photos. We’d love to see what they look like today!

Most of our fosters are kitten fosters although we do have some puppy fosters. They pull those babies out of the worst situations and nurse them back to health as best they can. They love them and spend countless hours on them. They foster them as long as needed to ensure they get the perfect home. It would be nice if everyone would comment a pix of your baby you adopted through us through Petsense or otherwise with the name it was listed as at the time of adoption. (We understand you like to change names)

That would make their New Year. What say you?!?!?
