It's been a rather warm(for me at least) couple of days in Longreach and Blackall with a few horses to work on.
This is some fantastic feedback from a client on her 3yo stockhorse - I love to hear from riders who know their horses so well!
We're off to Morven tomorrow night, then onto Pinnacle Campdraft Thursday. (finally get some drafting in on this trip😁)

Even though I don't get the chance to treat their horses often, Morgan & Emma Webb are good friends of ours and deserve a special mention for their achievements on the weekend.
Morgan taking out the open challenge and Emma the classic challenge at Coonamble. Even better ,they did it on their own horses, the legendary Norman (I do love a good Gi**lo) and Emma's new stallion Western Acres. I do have quite a crush on this little guy - sorry Dude!😂

Let me tell me tell about yesterday's awesome client😁
She couldn't be there in person, which is fine, I know the place and I know the horse. Left the mare in a yard, headstall hanging on the gate. What was I so excited about? The owner also left FLY SPRAY hanging on the gate 😃
Imagine relaxing in your therapists room, be it your chiro, massage, acupuncture whatever therapist. And there's a fly, buzzing around annoying you. Pretty hard to relax right?
Same for your horse. Not only do I need to be taking extra care to dodge the teeth and feet defending poor pony from biting flys but he is not going to get full benefit from his treatment if he can't relax.
So to get your $$ worth and acheive as much as possible let's try to do what we can to keep flys at bay for a while. Light sprays that aren't too oily are great, and even a bug spray around the area to discourage the little blighters makes a huge difference. 🪰🪰

Look what I brought home from work today😁 I've been looking after Kenelem for Maddy Collins racing since she was a 2yo. Now 6, she's come to my house to see if she likes chasing cows and little white balls😉

It was a sad farewell to my one of my long term clients Let's Get Animal yesterday. Maddy Collins racing is relocating to Victoria and I'll no longer get to see both Maddy and her horses once a fortnight! Good luck down there Maddy 🐎🐎🏆🏆

Meet Rosie. Rosie has been a client of mine for close to 2 years now. When I first met Rosie she was fine to bridle but had some head tossing whilst being ridden that her mum was concerned about. When I tried to work on Rosie in the poll area, she was dangerous! Obviously extremely unhappy I used to dread having to visit her. Her mum got her thoroughly checked out by the vet to rule out any neurological issues and luckily for Rosie decided to persist with regular monthly bodywork over a 12 month period. And the result? I now only see Rosie about once every 2 or 3 months and she is one of my favourites 😍 I can touch her anywhere I like and each time I see her she has even better releases. Thank you to Rosie's mum for seeing it through even when it didn't seem like we were making a lot of progress. Thanks to her persistence Rosie is a happy and comfortable horse with a much better outlook on life🙂

My Story

Hello horse lovers, owners, riders and trainers,

I’ve always had horses in my life one way or another, and as I grew older and realised I needed to care more for my own body, I decided the same applied to my horses. As owners, trainers and riders, we want to know that our horse is able to perform at his best, with no discomfort or pain present.

I believe that to perform at their best, our horses as athletes need to be in top shape. You know your horse, and you know when he just isn’t right. Regular massage will assist the muscles to remain supple and elastic, and non-invasive alignments will ensure he can function to his full potential.

Whether you aim to perform at the top of your chosen sport, or want to be safe and happy on the trails with your horse, I can work with you to make that happen!
