We we are now off until Monday 5th as we are on our hike across hadrians wall.
Before we finished up though……….
We got reacquainted with my new rescue mission this evening.
Bruno was due to be put to sleep this afternoon due to aggression issues but we put a stop to that and he’ll be joining my pack on the 5th of August when I return.
My plan is to rehabilitate Bruno and find him the perfect home.
Today was the first time I ever got to touch Bruno. 🥹
During his training I never saw it necessary but as he’s coming to me I now do.
I cried a little after leaving him, to think he would be gone by now 🥹
From wanting to Rip me apart to letting me touch him for the first time and give him some love.
I think we’ll be alright beautiful boy ❤️🐾

Looks like Mr Bruno here is coming to live with me for a few months for some rehabilitation before finding him the perfect home.
People may remember I worked with Bruno quite extensively on reactive behaviour towards pretty much everything.
You’ll see our first meeting in the start of the video where I’m pretty sure he wanted to eat me alive.
We did some great work with Bruno and he’s now able to be unmuzzled around people outside and generally was doing much better in every department.
Unfortunately you may remember a post I put up trying to get the perfect home for Bruno because he is a collie x bulldog believe it or not.
his behaviour has now escalated, this due to him not having his needs met and this is due to his behaviour which as you can see is a vicious circle.
it’s now escalating even further to the point of snapping at the children in the household.
We had absolutely no luck finding him a home and unfortunately after nipping a child again a couple of days ago he was due to be put to sleep on Saturday but I Just couldn’t live with that.
Now I won’t have anything bad said about his owners, they are fully aware they made a mistake getting the breed and along with hiring me long term they have exhausted all options and it’s now becoming dangerous.
This is a really hard time for them and they are the most genuine people who are now friends who just made a mistake and we’ve all made them.
So please be respectful.
This is not easy for them.
I don’t want to give up on Bruno because if you see where he is now in the second part of the video it shows it can be done.
What Bruno needs is exercise. Mental stimulation, guidance and boundaries and hopefully I can give him that before finding him his forever home when he’s a much more attractive proposition for any potential owner.
I’ve seen him do it, and he’s only 1 and a half years old.

Honestly i just love everything about this dog.

Was only a few weeks this old boy wanted to eat me alive 😂😂😂
It took me 40 minutes to trick him into getting a lead on him first time around.
Fast forward 2 walks later and we’re now buddies.

after 2 full nights working till 11pm on cars after work, doing brake lines, wiper motors, mafs sensor and so on.
We finally have working wipers again this morning.
8 hours sleep in two days and my back feels like I’m 70 but the car is working!!
What’s the betting it never rains again 😂😂😂👍

Alfie was hilarious this morning.
Rightly so this dog finds humans hard to trust.
There was a time when I dare not even try to put his harness on.
I only caught the end of this mornings antics but he made me picking him up such a game this morning.
Running around in circles, rolling over and kicking me in the face 😂😂😂
To be at this point with a dog that I’ll admit I never knew if we’d get there is such a warm feeling.
I get asked quite often why I work with what people call the harder dogs when most in my profession shy away from but this is why.
Because relationships built like this are more special than anything and let’s face it.
While it wasn’t me who directly who made trusting humans hard it was my fellow man and for that reason I feel I owe him and all the others like him.
He has it all now, beautiful loving owners and a dog walker who thinks he’s amazing.
He deserves every bit of it ❤️🐾

Up alone was going to be hard work but I love this.
We had to have a few words 😂😂😂 but we got there in the end.
I didn’t want to just slip a lead over his Head and create a negative association with me so we worked up to it.
This is where I see most dog walkers saying they’ll need to walk away, but that’s what makes us different.

We’ve been out with Kobie this morning and I’m now stuck blocking his drive as my key isn’t working again!!!
I have the key guy coming to me in next 20 mins or so so lll hopefully be back on the road asap.
Feeling so poorly at the moment I don’t need this 🥹 have rearranged Django so hopeful we’ll just continue rest of day after no problems.

Suspect is a stocky white and tan female.
About a foot tall with a charming pretty face.
Suspect is known and has previous for the theft of a bacon sandwich from a motor vehicle so lunch boxes closed at all times.

Arthur ❤️🐾
Here we are working on the last stages of Arthur the dachshunds reactive behaviour.
I worked out pretty quickly that Arthur wasn’t nervous, anxious or in the slightest bit aggressive and that nailed that bang on today.
It is infact Arthur’s owners and their routine when other dogs come towards them that has given Arthur that go to response of going mad and basically making his decisions because he doesn’t feel confident in his owners making decisions for him.
This in turn has led to this learned behaviour.
Today Arthur completely ignored Bonnie on introduction because he was absolutely over the moon to see me 😂
I’ve never seen a dog lose reactivity that quickly lol but it’s heartwarming that I mean that much to him after just a few weeks.
Arthur completely accepted Bonnie with no reaction at all so we just worked on the pass bys so that Arthur’s mum can build her confidence.
The pups all even had a play at the end further proving this is an owners issue and not an Arthur issue.
After just 3 weeks his wonderful owners now have a dog that listens, is beginning to recall, can safely ignore other dogs and the tools to take this to the next level.
I’m fully confident in mums ability to nail this and once she sees Arthur responding and engaging her Confidence will rise.
Loved working with these guys and as always I’m there should they ever need me ❤️🐾
