Hydrangea Hills Farm AKC Barbet | In Northern Michigan | Focused on therapy & temperament I was raised on a dairy farm so animals have always been a big part of my life.

| Established in 2014 |

We live in gorgeous Northern Michigan where we are adventurous all summer, hunt all fall, and relax while we love on our family all winter. Growing up we had several dogs and I always loved the love, and beautiful chaos owning multiple dogs bring to a family. I am a stay at home mom of our 2 daughters Remi & Brinley and our 2 sons Jr & Ike; and of course I am a stay at hom

e mom to all of our fur babies! Dayne and I work hard all spring and summer landscaping and beautifying the homes in our community. After designing and landscaping all spring, summer and most of the fall, we take a couple month break with our tribe while we patiently await spring to start putting in many hours designing and installing landscapes. The Lord has blessed us with the ability to further others lives with loving sidekicks and we don't take the responsibility lightly. We pray that every puppy sent home from Hydrangea Hills lives a long and happy life with your beautiful families!

He’s my little built in best friend. That’s what I call him and he laughs; because I tell him he’s “built in” because God built him in my womb.

He’s witty and kind and so stinking smart.

We’re raising him with a heart for others, a good hard work ethic, and a desire to care for animals…

In his defense on the chickadee, he really didn’t know he shouldn’t shoot it with his BB gun… not by any law other than his bumpas law.

Whooops🫣

But hey, I was pretty darn proud of his aim! We have the rule in our house if you kill it, we eat it…

But that one squeaked by because it received a proper burial instead🫠

Jokes aside, talk to your kids. But actually, take the time to work with them and let them talk to you.

And take the time to listen, I’m sure you will be as thoroughly entertained as I was🫶🏽

We don’t own this music🫠

IT’S TIME!

Learn about each of our bars individually and watch our post for when the Etsy shop is updated and live tomorrow morning!

Hydrangea Hills Farm
Himalayan Hydrangea
Hydrangeas are not only beautiful to look at, but are jam packed full with benefits for your skin and hair! They are a natural anti-inflammatory, full of antioxidants, and also have the ability to potentially lower blood sugar levels. So not only will you (and your pup) smell amazing with these bars; but also feel relaxed and rejuvenated after each wash!

Sourdough & Honey
We all know Sourdough is the new white bread. But I bet you never considered its topical benefits for your skin! This bar is filled with Organic bread crumbs from a local Traverse City Bakery. Packed with probiotics & honey this bar is like a kiss to your dry and irritated summer skin!

Calendula
This may be one of my new favorite skin loving bars. With a milder scent, but no lack of beauty this bar is perfect for pets and humans alike.

Bug OFF!
Infused with organic lemongrass this bug repellent bar is here just in time for summer and fall (I know I said it) late night bonfires! Lemongrass is a great natural bug repellent that also smells delicious!

Lemongrass & Calendula
I combined these two bars to make the perfect summer combo!

*NOW OFFERING*
And last but absolutely not least we will be offering our “Pup & Me” Combo starting in our summer drop! Add a bar of your choice for yourself, your furry friend, and also the additions of a wooden soap holder and a fabric soap saver!

*Limited number of each scent*

Also you may notice we are no longer offering half bar options and our prices have shifted as we’ve begun to order ingredients in bulk! Whoopee! If you are local and would like to buy a bar or two 😉 you don’t have to use Etsy! Reach out to me and we can arrange a day to get them into your hands that doesn’t involve a shipping fee😘

Meet the Summer Soap Collection!

Launching in just 2 days, our new favorite scents and soaps with high benefits for yourself and your canine friend!

Himalayan Hydrangea and the fellow Hydrangea Hills Farm shampoo & body bar is our new staple in the shop. You can expect this Hydrangea scent to find you every 3 months when we launch our newest collection! But for this collection, its new! So I’ll be sharing more about the Hydrangea Staples in the next few days so stay tuned for that! This one is dog friendly and we will have an option for both.

Sheep milk Sourdough & Honey is my absolutely new favorite! Infused with warm Vanilla as well as local honey & local sourdough crumbs to brighten your skin as well as exfoliate it. This bar is for you specifically and though I’m sure our furry friends wouldn’t mind the crumbs in their fur, I’d advise against it. But to each his own!

Aloe Vera & Sweet Orange is a twist on our orange blossom that we launched this spring. Soothe your summer skin with a bar that is infused with organic Aloe Vera gel! This one is dog friendly and we will have an option for both.

Sheep milk Bug OFF! Is our bug repellant bar for the summer! Infused with organic lemongrass and all of the other hair, fur & skin friendly ingredients; this is quickly becoming our summer staple to enjoy those late nights outdoors while naturally fighting those flying pests! This one is dog friendly and we will have an option for both.

Lemongrass & Calendula is the best dual purpose bar! Combining both of these scents not only made for a fresh and clean smelling summer bar, but also one that fights bugs while soothing skin! If you or your furry friend have skin issues, this bar is for you! This one is dog friendly and we will have an option for both.

More info on each bar specifically to come!

As a little girl I never wanted much.

I didn’t want the mansion on a hill with the fancy car & all the bells and whistles.

And do you want to know a secret? I still don’t.

All I’ve ever wanted is a house to make a HOME.

Filled with dogs, fresh raw milk, and grounded children that others perceive as “wild”. A home where fresh cobbler is baked by mom every morning, there are books around every corner to be consumed, and the Holy Spirit dwells so peacefully there that anyone who walks through the door is instantly at home.

A home where dad provides and is praised and thanked for it. A home filled with mom and dad sneaking kisses and glances and dances in the kitchen.

A home that praises the Lord even when times get hard. A home that shields from the unknown of this world, and truly doesn’t care because our Father is in control and always on the throne.

So a note to the young girl who desires nothing more than a simple, happy, faith-filled life; it’s okay to look different than the world around you.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬

Get to know the Flea + Tick Organic Goat Milk Dog Shampoo Bar🕷 before next weeks launch!

Don’t forget to subscribe to our shop page on our website to know when we go live and snag a bar for your furry friend🐾💛

This bar is full of all the strong ingredients to help repel those fleas and ticks, without harming our sweet sidekicks! With gentle base ingredients like coconut oil and olive oil along with the addition of Cedarwood & Geranium essential oils; this soap works wonders for more than just repelling pests from our furry friends👇🏽

Cedarwood essential oil is a terrific natural pest repellent. In addition, when used on dogs Cedarwood can also act as a antiseptic for the lungs, expectorant for coughs, (like kennel cough), circulation stimulator (making it helpful for bodily pains and arthritis), hair growth booster and dandruff reducer, diuretic, and a general calming agent that can help with behavior concerns like shyness or nervous aggression.

Geranium essential oil has wonderful benefits for animals as well, including: a calming effect on dogs suffering from anxiety. Helps to heal canine skin problems. Treats fungal ear infections, also is able to help reduce stress. A great aide for treating yeast overgrowth and not to mention the star of the show repels those nasty fleas & ticks!

INGREDIENTS:
Olive oil*, Coconut oil*, Caster oil*, Cedarwood* + Geranium* essential oils.

Organic*

Poor Thistle has become the “babysitter” as of late because Indi is busy raising her babies.

Thistle is the last one standing so to speak for the Cardigans, and I’ll be honest: I’m not mad about it.

She technically is available to a retirement home but I haven’t pushed her leaving AT ALL because she’s just such a good girl and doesn’t bother anyone being here.

So this is me, letting the world know that Thistle is retired and if you’d like to chat about her I’m open; but like also don’t actually talk to me because I really like her and rather she just stay here🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve never been more sure that farming is in my blood than welcoming new little lives in the middle of the night with my 7 year old daughter by my side in the barn.

It brought back so many memories of being a young girl glued to my dad’s side as we went to the barn to check if any new heifers had freshened.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it until I die; I’m so incredibly grateful to have been raised by a farmer. To have that blood running through my veins just hits different on late nights in the barn.

“Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”

How is it even possible that 4 YEARS ago Indi had her very first litter!? Now she’s almost 6 years old and going to have her official final litter of babes🥺 it’s bitter sweet that’s for sure.

Happy birthday to the 9 little fireballs who brought in the first, third generation of the best line of corgis around. We couldn’t love you anymore even if we tried.

22/03/2023

Our generation has gotten duped. I’m sorry if that seems too harsh or if it offends you. But the truth generally is offensive because it isn’t laced with pretty words or a flat out lie.

Hand held technology came about when most of us were in high school, we thought it was cool but we still made time for real life friendships and cultivating memories as groups of people.

I’m thankful the first 15 years of my childhood was social media free.

I ache for the generations behind us who fell head first not knowing what this space is all about.

I ache for the children we raise that constantly are trying to keep up with this crazy busy world.

It’s impossible for us to keep up with everything.

It’s impossible for us to influence everyone.

But it’s not impossible, to influence our own children. To set the tone for our households and the tone for the day, week, and even the year.

It starts with us. We are the silent encouragers, the booboo kissers, the patient teachers, the Jesus sharing generation of mamas.

We can choose to influence the world, or we can choose to change the world by influencing the children God has set before us.

Happy friends✨

“that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”
Titus 2:4-5

I wasn’t going to decorate early... but here we are🎄🤍

“Gratitude exclaims, very properly, “How good of God to give me this!”
C.S. Lewis

Who wouldn’t want to celebrate a Savior being born early though!?🙌

This year we are being intentional to start a shift and a change in our household. I have been convicted to break the chain of consumerism. Here I go again with the “breaking chains” thinking...

But here me out: we have been a few generations deep now saturated in the importance of “stuff”. Just the number of commercials one person sees in a 30 minute show is enough to make us walk away desiring one thing we never knew exsisted before that moment. So here I am trying to yet again intentionally break chains and raise these kiddos to enjoy more than the physical things in life. Chase the sunsets. Enjoy the snow. Watch the chickens eat. Pet the dogs and the puppies. Just enjoy life, not the things!
