Do you know what bees do in the winter? ๐
Surprisingly, they don't hibernate! They keep the hive warm by creating compact clusters around the queen and continuously vibrating their bodies, generating heat all winter long!
As you might expect, vibrating all winter long requires a lot of energy, which can be hard to obtain during cold, barren months. Most hives survive off of the stored honey left over from spring and fall, if they are able to survive at all.
This is part of why we have made it our mission to help restore the bees' natural habitat. We have already helped plant a total of 5.1M square feet of bee habitat since our launch and plan to plant 50M within the next few years!
๐ Help us save the bees and the earth we all live on! ๐
