I am so delighted to have been nominated again this year for the South Ayrshire awards. I feel very lucky that we were able to operate when other activities were not available and I have been able to spend time with my ponies and my friends.

First up on Day 2 of we have volunteer Imogen Andrew from Ballochbroe Farm Stables. Imogen has been nominated in the Young Community Volunteer category.

Imogen shows an enormous amount of dedication to her volunteering work at the Stables. Thanks to her, over 40 children per week have been able to continue riding throughout the Covid-19 pandemic when restrictions have allowed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

When I came home from school today my brother helped me to set up and film a course for my online showing. So once I was finished we both had a go on Theodore without a saddle and he was such a good boy.
It was nice to have my brother with me for a change but I don't really want to share Theodore all the time 🤣😂

This last year has been a huge challenge to us all and it makes me appreciate my ponies even more as they have kept me busy. One of the things I have done to stay happy is take part in online showing and competitions and look forward to my rosettes arriving in the post.
This month our Stables (Ballochbroe FARM Stables Members - Pony Therapy) has sponsored a ring at the MSE online horse show which is aimed at Para Riders and SEN. Even a cuddle from my pony can make me feel better and I know there are so many people out there that benefit from time with ponies. One of my friends from the stables can't walk without assistance - but he can certainly ride himself and loves tooting along at speed.
I have attached information on how to enter the online showing and would encourage everyone to do so.
There are also a variety of other classes and with no shows so far in Scotland, this is a great way to keep busy at weekends.

Look at this beautiful girl Fayrefield Rocking Rosie. 😍
I can't believe that I have been trusted with her care and been given her on loan so that I can hopefully get a foal from my lovely standard Shetland Stallion Robyn's Brae Rush. Thank you to our family friend Elspeth for trusting me with this responsibility.

Also I am delighted with my photos which I took in a dark stable to enter mini stars equestrian (online showing) headshot classes. Think I'm getting better at taking good photos of my ponies ❤️

Now that we think we have realised why my Facebook posts were not uploading!!!! (Mum is not great with technology - much better at ponies).

I was lucky enough to have received a rosette package from mse online shows March competition and I let Theodore choose his favourite one to model.

I want to encourage as many people as possible to take part as it really does give you a boost when you get your results and looking at other people's photos gives you lots of new ideas. Remember you can take a brand new photo like I do each month to fit the classes or you can use an old favourite photo. This means you don't have to have your own pony (it can be a friends or one from your riding centre).

I have been working hard this month getting my entries done and my little brother has even put together a few too 😂😂

What a laugh I have had this week trying to get photos for my online showing competitions in the wind. Baby pony Theodore was brilliant standing whilst I had my big concours skirts on which were like tents in the wind. It was hard to get a good picture without his hair or my hair blowing away 🌬️💨
These are some of the ones that didn't work as well. However we got some good ones and had a laugh. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I will let you know how I get on.
I just love riding about in a big dress and feeling very special ❤️

I have been talking to lots of people about on line showing recently because I am really enjoying it. The comments from most is that they are not bothering because it is usually won by someone with an old showing photo from years ago when they win the championship.
I have been taking part in the Mse Monthly online shows. I'm not going to say that hasn't happened in some classes - but they do have some great classes this month that you can take up to date pictures and videos for. I did that last month and I was quite successful - it was also really good fun making up the pictures so it gave my ponies and I something to do.
I would recommend looking through this months schedule as it would give you something to do in this terrible weather.
But don't put in too good an entry as I don't want you to beat me!!!!!! 😂😂😂

I had such a great surprise today when the post arrived during home schooling.

With 'lockdown lessons' at the Stables meaning there are much less people around at a time. I feel very lucky to have my ponies to share my time with.
Tonight I really enjoyed it even although it was Freezing ❄️❄️❄️ because I got to hand out Canter Aids and Position rosette awards from the Association of British Riding Schools to some of my friends.

Yesterday was the end of my first week of home schooling again. So during my break I had some fun in the snow with Theodore. We were trying to get a good picture to enter the 'Best Arty Picture' class at the Mini Stars Equestrian January online show. My papa had bought this lovely red concours costume for me for Christmas and Theo had his Christmas headcollar. Eventually I got him to hold a rose... But we discovered that mum's shadow was in some of the photos 🙈 we had a lot of fun and I think we managed to get one picture to enter.

My name is Imogen and I am lucky enough to have a small team of ponies and and a big equestrian family of friends at the Stables. Every day is a learning day with ponies and I have been fortunate enough to have this opportunity since I was born. I enjoy competing and winning rosettes but I equally enjoy helping others and seeing how much confidence and happiness ponies can bring to them.
