At the beginning of lockdown 2020, I had the opportunity to adopt Biscotti my first hamster since childhood. Shortly after bringing him home, I found myself in a rabbit hole researching and discovering proper hamster care through online groups and youtube videos! The educational experience I got on proper hamster care (and fussy hamsters) was eye-opening! the amount of misinformation and improper
care standards for hamsters (and other small animals) was shocking. The experience I gained from Biscotti allowed me to create suitable environments for both him and the hamsters that followed. I noticed, however, that there was still a lack of stores offering safe quality products for small animals such as hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs. I’ve seen how much of a positive impact offering hamsters suitable setups has on their lives. Now I want more people to be able to offer the same impact to their own small animals. More people are becoming aware of the minimum standards being set for our small furry friends. We aim to assist customers looking to improve their care standards by providing platforms and other products, which they can use to improve their pet’s setup. This is done by producing products that are safe for your pets and sustainably produced to allow for a greener footprint left by the company. We also are working alongside organisations like Happy Hamsters UK, who are working towards better care standards under the animal welfare act and educating people on the correct care for small animals.
