Hi everyone! Here is an update on WAG:
We are not full operational as we are not able to intake, but, we are doing the best we can with what we can help. We have reached out to other rescues and shelters in neighboring counties who help us when they can, too.

One of the best ways we can use help is with fosters. Please let us know if you are willing to foster.

Also, If anyone wants to donate to us directly or on our account at Woodville Vet that is always much appreciated. Or sponsor a specific animal, we can connect you with that too.

Anyone who has ideas on ways to help us help the lost/homeless animals we welcome you to share those!

Frigid weather is fast approaching. If anyone has doghouses and straw (not hay), donations will be appreciated.

💨💨 Arctic blast this Saturday night thru next Thursday... 5 of 6 nights below freezing 💨❄️! Our goal is to bring all 70 dogs inside. So we are asking for any used or new wire kennels. Preferably larger kennels. We are operating with a total of 101 dogs. This is 2X the dogs from the previous two years. Any help is much appreciated!!

Another option to help during this arctic blast is to FOSTER a dog. If you would like to open your home to one of our furry friends for a few days we encourage you to come by the shelter to fill out foster paperwork.

This week, our region experienced unprecedented low temperatures, prompting concerns for our community cats enduring the cold. Don't forget: opt for straw in shelters, not blankets! Straw serves as a superior insulator, channeling warmth back to the kitty nestled in or on it. 🌬️🐱

Sweet Pea is ready to search for her furever home. She is 10 months old, weighs right at 30lbs, HW-, spayed, chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, crate trained and great with other dogs. She is very submissive when she is corrected by another dog. All she really wants is to be close to her humans. ✨BUDDY ✨ a gentle young dog with an old soul. He is currently in temporary foster care and has some immediate needs: Vaccinations and neutering at the top of his list. If you will like to contribute towards these costs please make donations to Woodville Vet for WAG or to WAG’s Venmo.

Buddy doesn’t jump, lick or anything annoying 😜 He loves a good scratch on the head and some loving “good boy” talk. Oh and treats of course! Truly a great pet! Please pm on here for interest in adopting or fostering this sweet boy! Thank you for your support ❤️🐾
