A fun fact about this adventurer: Basil has been to 35 of the 50 states and loves to play soccer with her nose! ⚽️ She's currently working on her PT at home with her mom, getting lots of rest, and slowly but surely, working her way back to her usual playful self. 💖

🌟 Meet sweet Stella🐾 This 6 year old golden gal underwent TPLO surgery with the Trek team last week at The Center for Animal Wellness. Her mom reports that she is back to her sassy self, but still taking it easy with plenty of extra belly rubs and long naps (including her daily mid-morning snooze 😴). Big cheers for Tytus, who just wrapped up 9 rehab sessions following his right TPLO surgery! At 222 lbs of pure love, he’s been working hard to stay strong while waiting until spring for his left TPLO. To help his left stifle, we’ve been using kinesiology tape for extra comfort and support. Keep it up, Tytus—we’re so proud of you! 🐾💙

🐾 Patient of the Week: Max 🐾

Meet Max, our incredible patient of the week! Max is a resilient tripod who underwent TPLO surgery with us at . 🦴✨ Before being adopted by his loving family, Max lost his other hind limb due to barbed wire entanglement—a tough start that he’s overcome with remarkable strength.

Recovering from TPLO surgery is challenging for any pet, but for a tripod, it’s even more demanding. With just one hind limb, Max is relying on extra support to regain his mobility. His dedicated family is using a Help 'Em Up harness to assist him as he navigates the first few weeks of recovery, focusing on balance and building strength.

Meet Mochi! This adventurous Miniature Australian Shepherd visited the Trek team after suspected frostbite caused lameness and irritation in his left thoracic limb. To help him feel better, we performed a partial digit amputation.

In true Aussie spirit, Mochi was ready to be back to his wild self just one day after surgery! For now, though, he's sticking to activity restriction while his surgical site heals. Sending lots of love to this resilient little pup!

Say hello to Dexter, the sweetest boy who recently underwent a sialoadenectomy with us at ! 🐶✨

This specialized surgery was performed to treat a sialocele, a fluid-filled cavity that forms when saliva pools in the salivary glands or surrounding tissues. Sialoceles, also known as salivary gland cysts, occur due to trauma or infection that disrupts the normal flow of saliva into the mouth. While these cysts are often soft and painless, they can grow large and interfere with daily activities like eating or moving, making treatment essential.

Let’s give a round of "ap-paws" for Dexter’s recovery journey! 🐾

🐾 Patient of the Week: Axel 🐾

Meet Axel, a super handsome 7-year-old Rottweiler mix who stole our hearts last week! 💙 We visited to perform TPLO surgery for this sweet and stoic boy. Axel was an absolute champ throughout his procedure and recovery, showing us just how resilient he is. 💪🐶

✨ Patient of the Week: Bandit ✨
Meet Bandit, a brave and sweet soul we had the pleasure of caring for last week at Blue Spruce Animal Clinic in Castle Rock. Bandit underwent surgery to remove a 3cm mast cell tumor from his right lateral thorax.

Before heading into surgery, Bandit got lots of love and reassurance from our amazing tech team, who made sure he felt safe and comforted. 💕

He’s now on the road to recovery, and after two weeks of healing, we know he’ll be back to his happy, lovable self. 💙🐾 Let’s all send Bandit some extra love for a smooth recovery!

🎉👏 Big Congrats to Wookie! 👏🎉

After completing rehab following her bilateral MPL repair with tibial tuberosity transposition, Wookie has officially graduated! Her owner’s goal was simple yet life-changing: get Wookie back to enjoying her daily walks, something she hadn’t been able to do for over a year.

The progress has been incredible — Wookie's energy, stamina, and endurance have all greatly improved! She’s now sitting squarely, jumping up onto chairs, and ready for many more comfortable walks and adventures ahead. 🐾💪💖

🐾 Patient Spotlight Alert! Meet Tormund! 🐾

This brave 6-year-old feline endured quite the ordeal after a dog attack left him with both a fractured radius and ulna in his left front limb. The Trek team performed a complex repair, plating both bones as well as placing a splint to restrict movement for the first four weeks of recovery. Despite it all, Tormund has remained super sweet and resilient.💙

Sending Tormund all the healing vibes as he continues his recovery! 🐱💪
