Welcome to "Medical Monday". On random Monday's we will be posting information relating to medical issues not specific to Alaskan Malamutes but which may be interesting to you :-)

The purpose is to open up discussion on topics to help all dog parents better help their dogs live the best life possible.

Today's is about intussusception. According to our local vet, this is more common than most people realise. In the last 18 months we have heard of 5 cases: 1 was very young; 1 was a little older; 2 have had a recurring problem but no other health issues; and 1 has had no further problems.

This is the start of a new era.

Our kennel name is honouring the two kennels which helped us begin this journey many years ago.

Thanks to Snowlions Alaskan Malamutes in the USA and Shuyak Alaskan Malamutes in Australia. These two kennels are behind our foundation dogs and have brought so many positives to our breeding lines.
