So we're all set up. We are spending time in here every day so that she can feel comfortable with the space as she's obviously used to it being the dining room. If you're wondering what the blue bag is for, this is our "incubator" if we need to go to the vets, a heat pad is placed in the bottom and the lid closed to keep pups warm. (hopefully we won't need this) A calm week ahead is planned.

We can safely say the pups are growing, she seems to have expanded in the last couple of days, I'm not quite sure what she is doing with the bed 🤣 oh and I couldn't resist a new puppy toy whilst I was shopping

Great day for Pearl, the puddles came back, we all know how she likes to lay in them 😂 and she was very brave at the vets today for her eye screening, she was given the all clear too 😍

Pearls adventures in the Yorkshire Dales! Airshows, rivers, waterfalls, pub lunches and lazy afternoons in the caravan. Molly had her holiday at Nana's where she has been very spoilt 😍

We passed Platiplus 1! It was her first attempt to, after a difficult couple of weeks, and her confidence really being knocked I am very proud of her. She has a matching set to Flo now ❤️

It's been a tough 10 days since we said goodbye to Flo. This is the last photo I took of her, I've only just been able to bring myself to look at it. I have got a memorial plaque that arrived yesterday and I have found a perfect spot in the garden for her ❤️

It's with great sadness that I write these words, yesterday 29th June we had to say goodbye to our beloved Flo. She sustained a serious spinal injury last Thursday and despite our best efforts she did not recover from her injury. As I'm sure you can imagine we are totally devastated and trying to come to terms with our loss. Those that met Flo will know what a special girl she was, and those that are lucky enough to have one of her babies will understand how she touched your heart. These next few weeks and months are going to be hard, and I'm unsure if I'll ever be able to fill the space in my heart that she has left.

I'm so proud of Pearl for passing Platinum level obedience training last night 💪 first attempt too which is unusual (and makes up for her 3 attempts on gold 😂) She has come so far with her confidence, and her ability to concentrate in a busy environment. She has nearly caught up with Flo, just Platinum 1 to try for now 🤞

It's been wash and clip day for Flo. I love this shampoo and conditioner, double shampoo really helps make her coat so shiny. I do love long coated Cocker's but my girls just love the mud too much to stay long.

My last four dog walk today 😔 it's been lovely having Sunday to stay and getting to know her little character. Hopefully she enjoyed her stay with us, she's certainly made herself comfortable stealing the girls beds! Her speed definitely increased chasing Pearl on our walks and around the garden. I think they'll all be glad of the rest tomorrow ☺️

We're coming to the end of our first week with Sunday and we've had a great time, lots of walks, I have told her if she insists on following Pearl into muddy puddles she has to have a wash at the end of the walk! Flo has even let her share her bed, Molly has found Sunday's bed, not sure she can work out how to get out 🤣 we're off to the river tomorrow for more adventures and just a few more days before she goes home for a rest 😍

We've got a visitor 😍 Sunday has come to stay with us for a short while, she's already settled right in and is loving spending time with her mum and auntie's. We're all looking forward to our adventures over the next week

Flo had a trial at Rally Obedience this morning and was brilliant, she hasn't been in a training session for several months and she just switched on so quickly (obviously treats help 😂) I think I made more mistakes than she did, getting my lefts and rights confused 🤔

11 years ago today we invited Molly into our lives. She's such a sweet natured girl, and the reason I started breeding, she didn't have the best start to life and bad breeding has meant that she lost her sight at 7 years old. I knew there was a better way to bring these beautiful dogs into people's lives so I researched, read up on the best breeding practices and chose great breeding girls to start my lines, but Molly is definitely the inspiration behind it all. A gentle walk, and a few sausage treats for her today 😍

Pearl and I are working towards our gold obedience award, here is one of our training sessions, as you can see she still needs a bit of work 🤣 the hardest part for her is the "Down, Stay" this is where I put her into a down position and I leave the room for 4 minutes and she has to stay there, she's brilliant with this at home, but doing it at training, with other dogs sitting next to her tests her confidence levels. One more week to go until test night 😬

Just over a week since our last pup left and Flo is pretty much back to her old self. It has amazed me how quickly she has bounced back, she absolutely loves the leaves, it makes her act like a young pup again 🤣

Well I've said goodbye to the last pup today. It's been a wonderful 8 weeks watching them grow, seeing their little characters develop and introducing them to their new families. It's always very emotional saying goodbye, and I know I'll be thinking about them lots. Me and the girls are off out on a long walk this afternoon. Flo has been an amazing mum , and Pearls confidence has grown and grown over the last few weeks meeting lots of new people. Back to training for me and Pearl to get our Gold level obedience award 🤞 and I think I've found a new dog sports class for Flo once she's fully back to her old self. Oh and Molly can finally enter the kitchen without wondering if any pups are going to be in there!!! Thank you all for following our journey, and I hope that you've found it interesting and sometimes amusing 🥰

Despite the cold we've been managing to get outside lots, I surprised them by placing new items (taken from around my garden) in the area which they play, as you can see they were inquisitive and enjoyed investigating. Puppy call, is really sinking in it does make me laugh when they all come charging over 😂 I'm putting together their puppy packs ready for their departures, oh and I've booked myself into my first gym session in 8 weeks 😱

We were invited to collaborate with Puppy Yoga Nottingham yesterday. It was an amazing experience for all the pups, they loved meeting lots of new people and having lots of cuddles. The relaxed atmosphere meant they became very sleepy and I'm sure they all perfected their downward dog 🐶

Wow it's been another busy few days, all pups were very brave for their first vaccination and microchip, our new stroller has proved very useful, they love their afternoon walks around the estate, taking them down to the main road so they can get used to the traffic noise. And the girls had their first baths today, so easy when they can fit in the kitchen sink, although I know that won't last for long!! An exciting weekend planned, watch out for posts!!

I've been working with the pups on a skill called Manding. This is a way for a pup to be able to communicate with you. Essentially rather than jumping up at you (or the pen) to get your attention they are taught that sitting in front of you is the best way to 'ask' you something. I don't use the sit command (that is something for later) they instinctively do this, the key is to reward that behaviour with YESSSS and a treat.

Safe to say the pups loved their first experience on the grass! Now my garden is safely guarded, although I think I might leave it up until Pearl has decided to stop digging the grass 😂. All warmed up and fast asleep now 😍

We finally made it outside 😁 pups loved it, we didn't stay out for too long as it was a bit chilly, we'll be exploring the grass on the weekend (once my husband has built some protection for my plants!) Another new texture for them is some tarpaulin over a metal panel, this gives them the experience of an uneven surface and one that makes a noise! As you can see they had no fear at all 😍 They're all loving the introduction of new treats, cheese and chicken, although my girls definitely think they should be sharing ☺️

It's been a great start to 2023! They are all so good with the introduction of new things, it's been an exploration of the kitchen, which included a tunnel! The sound of the blast dryer, and getting comfortable in the crates, I'm keeping my fingers crossed the forecast stays good for tomorrow so I can take them outside, it's been quite wet here so I've not wanted their first experience to be a wet one!!
