🐱❗️Remember to have your cat microchipped! ❗️🐱

From 10th June 2024, the new law means that cats must be microchipped before they reach the age of 20 weeks.

You must also ensure you register them on a DEFRA-approved microchipping database.

If you miss the June deadline, the new law states you'll have 21 days to have your cat microchipped, or you may face a fine of up to £500.

By microchipping their cats, owners can increase the likelihood that they will be reunited with their beloved pet if they go missing.

🐾🎄 With the holiday season upon us, it's important to make sure our furry friends stay safe and happy! 🎅🏼🐶 Here are some tips to ensure your pets have a paws-itively wonderful Christmas:

🔌 Keep an eye on decorations: Make sure your festive decor is pet-friendly! Avoid decorations that could be harmful if chewed or ingested, and secure wires to prevent any accidental shocks.

🍬 Mind the treats: While indulging in holiday goodies, remember that some human treats, like chocolate and mince pies, can be harmful to pets. Keep them away from the temptation and opt for pet-friendly treats instead!

🎆 Beware of fireworks: Loud noises from fireworks and celebrations can stress out pets. Create a safe and quiet space for them to retreat to if needed, and consider using calming aids if your pet gets anxious.

🚪 Secure exits: With guests coming and going, be mindful of doors and gates to prevent pets from slipping out unnoticed. A collar with updated ID tags and a microchip can be a lifesaver if they happen to wander off.

🌺 Toxic plants: Poinsettia, Mistletoe, Holly, Ivy & Lilies are all poisonous to pets. When decorating or receiving flowers and plants during the holiday season, make sure they are placed well out of reach of curious pets.

🎁 Gift safety: Keep an eye on gift wrapping and packaging—ribbons, strings, and small toy parts can pose choking hazards. Opt for pet-friendly toys and gifts to keep the holiday spirit fun and safe!

We have been asked to help (we have no room) all rescues full if no rescue place found she will be put to sleep.
She suffers with hypothyroidism
