People often say their dog can tell when they’re ill and get extra affectionate, clingy, attentive…
Third day back at work today after our holiday and I was recovering from a migraine and not feeling my best, but I had 3 clients and of course Xena.
Xena does always seem to know when I’m ill. She gets clingy - she’s even lying on me now while I type. She was also a star on her walk today, and the chilled walk helped.
Meanwhile my clients’ dogs seemed to know too. Bruno was super affectionate when I arrived and was happy to cuddle instead of get straight into training. Jax was the king of training, super chilled and focussed, almost trying harder than usual. And Bella, well Bella seemed to think a full-on kiss on the lips would make me feel better 🤦🏻♀️(it didn’t but I appreciated the gesture) 😂
Needless to say, they all made me smile, and I’ve had a fab day with the dogs, even though I wasn’t feeling my best.
What about your dog? Do they know when you’re ill? Do you notice them more affectionate or could they literally not care less?! Drop me a heart emoji in the comments if your dog helps when you’re not feeling 100% ( and an angry face if they make you feel worse!)
