It doesn’t feel that long ago that we would turn around and leave if there were too many crowds, because Xena wouldn’t be able to cope. But today, when we arrived at Stranraer and realised they were part-way through rowing world championships, we had a wander amongst the crowds and had some lunch before driving somewhere quieter for a calmer walk.
Because that’s where we’re at now with Xena’s training.
If you’re training your dog, remember to keep assessing where they’re at so you can move them on when they’re ready. If you always train the same, you’ll plateau and won’t move forward. And that’s fine, if you’re where you want to be. But if you still have some way to go, you need to keep moving!
If you are struggling to move your dog’s training on, got stuck in a rut, or you’re struggling with how to get started working on reactivity, send me a message and let’s have a chat about how I can help.
