I had only had Diamantina Dixie for a few weeks here and this was me about to go in and compete with her for the first time EVER…. At the Barcaldine Show.. To say I was sh****ng bricks and farting crow bars was an understatement.

Steven swapped me Dixie as he seen me struggling with a dog he had bought me 12 months earlier that was just too much for me and my experience level.

She didn’t put a foot wrong… and even corrected me when I gave her the wrong commands 🤣🤣

Came out with a 2nd ribbon and a 4th …. And then a few more in the following trials.

Pretty sure I was saying “Don’t f**k it up” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We had a great weekend surrounded by some amazing friends at Roleston Cattle Dog Trial on the weekend.
Clancy’s Creek Slim getting a 6th in the Maiden and Diamantina Dixie getting a 2nd 🥈 in the Novice and 3rd 🥉 in the Maiden.

15 out of the 35 lots have already reached their reserve, and are ON THE MARKET!

Some advice for potential bidders..

Register for the auction by creating an account.
Even if you don’t intend on bidding immediately.
We highly recommend that you get this done.
Don’t leave it until the last minute!
This is a straight forward process, just follow the prompts.

Do your research!
We recommend that you do your due diligence!
Ring the seller.
Ask as many questions as you need to.
Organise an inspection and demonstration if possible.
Investigate transport options if required.
If you are concerned the dog (or the seller) are not right for you. Don’t bid.

We would rather you don’t buy a dog, than buy a dog that you aren’t happy with!

Bid early!
Place your bids early.
This will let you get used to the process, and avoid any unnecessary stress or pressure towards the end of the auction.
We use a two minute bid extension at the end of the auction,
so there is no advantage to leaving your bidding until the last minute!
