Harley X Po Litter Pup-Date!

The girls are 5 weeks old tomorrow. I am already getting a small pit in my stomach because I know our time with these babies is rapidly ticking away. On the other hand, all 3 girls are going to 5-star homes and will be so loved and adored...which is all we could ever hope for. Still, all of my puppies take a small piece of my heart with them when they move on to their forever families. ❤️

These girls have changed so much over the past few weeks. They are walking, running, playing, chewing...full blown puppies! We entered the Socialization Phase this week and they are such a riot!! They are silly, crazy, loving little girls and we truly cannot get enough of them.

Tootsie's ears started to lift earlier this week, and are currently in "airplane mode". Ears normally start to pop around the 5 week mark, so I expect Reese and Dove are not far behind their sister. 🫶

Technically 16 days old and past that fragile first 2 weeks (big sigh of relief). Time flies when you are having fun!

All 3 girls now have their eyes open and are starting ro show small reactions to sound. They had their first round of dewormer and did great! We also had a little spa day with sponge baths and weekly nail clippings. Everyone continues to gain weight steadily and are such happy, content puppies.

We are moving into the Transitional phase. By 21 days these babies should be able to see, hear and stand. They will also be able to potty without mom's help. We will start very basic sound curriculum later this week. Lots to come for these little ladies.

Harley X Po (Candy Themed Litter🍭)

The girls are 12 days old today and doing so great! They are gaining steadily and are already CHONKY!! Eyes have not opened yet, but you can see they are getting very close.

I love that they are all so unique to eachother, not only in their appearance but also their little personalities.This was the first litter that we really had no need for identification collars, which has been nice!

Dove is a Blue Fawn possibly Lilac Fawn, but we are leaning more towards Blue Fawn like her momma. She is the "busy bee" of the group. She is already doing the "mogli" walk (from Jungle Book), which blows my mind! She is gorgeous and has such a pretty face. She does have small white markings on her muzzle and also her chin, chest and toes. ♥️ She is very light in color so it is a little hard to see the white.

Tootsie is a Coco with Tan Points and looks like her gorgeous daddy! Tootsie is the most chill puppy in the litter. She loves to be held and cuddled. She is also on the lazy side...lol. We will be working with her more to get her moving in the whelping box and get some strength built in those little turkey legs. I have to mention her coat, which is like silk...so soft and shiny. She also has a beautiful face, and a small white marking on her chest.

Reese is our cutie-pie Red Fawn/Sable. I am obsessed with this girl's white markings. She has the cutest white blaze above her nose and around her muzzle. She also has tons of white markings running down her chin, chest and tummy. We have never produced a Fawn with her markings, so adorable and unique! Reese is our easy-going, "middle of the road" gal. She is so stinkin' cute! She is very compact and is about as wide as she is long right now...lol.

All 3 girls have a beautiful large headpiece, nice nose rope, open nares and great structure. We are excited to see how they mature, but also are really enjoying this stage and want to soak in every moment that we have with these babies.💓

Momma Harley is also recovering so well, and is the BEST new momma. I could not be more proud of this girl. I knew she would be great, but she has truly blown my expectations out of the water. She dotes on her babies like you cannot believe. Keeps them clean and is so loving. She is so amazing!!

Harley X Po Litter Update

Welcome to the world little ones. 🥰

Harley had 4 beautiful little girls yesterday (8/24/2024). Sadly, one of the little girls took a turn shortly after birth and could not be revived. 💔
The 3 remaining girls are beautiful, healthy and doing great! And momma Harley is recovering well and is obsessed with her babies. Formal introductions to come in the next few days. ❤️🐾

Harley X Po Litter Update:

Our Veterinarian saw 4 puppies on the x-ray. They said we might have a 5th puppy hiding, but they are pretty confident there are only 4. This is an average sized litter for a French Bulldog, but will be the smallest litter we have ever had, and we are beyond excited!! I think these babies are going to have a plethora of momma's milk and are going to be little chunks. 💓

We start reverse progesterone testing this Friday, and the puppies will be born sometime this weekend. Can't wait to meet these little squishes!!

Harley X Po Pregnancy Update:

Harley is looking very pregnant these days! We have 1 week until the X-ray for official puppy counts, and 12-14 days until we get to meet these babies!

At seven weeks gestation, a canine fetus, also known as a puppy, has a fully developed skeleton that can be seen on an ultrasound. The fetus is also about the size of a plum and may be felt moving, depending on the dog and litter.

I spent the weekend setting up our puppy room, which is no small task. I get a little OCD when it comes to my puppy room. Everything is now spotless,
organized, and ready for mom and puppies! 💕

Harley X Po Litter Pregnancy Update!

Harley is into her 6th week of pregnancy (44 days post ovulation) and is doing fantastic! Her belly is expanding, and she resembles a little round bowling ball right now. She still has a great appetite, which I am so thankful for. She is an absolute love bug and is especially lovey right now... she wants attention and cuddles 24-7. 🥰

This week, the puppies are about the size of a hazelnut (1/2 inch in diameter and length). Frenchie puppies' average birth weight is around 0.5 lb. So over the remaining 19-20 days of pregnancy, these babies have a lot of growing to do.

By week six, the puppies develop s*x organs and begin to differentiate into male or females. And by week 7, the skeletons are fully developed and can be seen clearly on an ultrasound or x-ray.

We have been busy shopping and stocking up on whelping supplies and making sure all of our gadgets are fully charged. This weekend, we will set up the whelping box and do a deep clean of the puppy room. We are also trying to get our sleep because when the puppies come, it is round the clock care and limited sleep for the first few weeks. 💓

We can't wait to meet these sweet babies!!

A few Izzy X Bucky babe Pupdates:

Pic #1. Mr. Maui is such a handsome fella! He is a beautiful 22 lb. Blue Fawn and has a striking resemblance to his Grand Champion daddy. Maui is a part of our pack, and we adore this boy (even though he has literally chewed ever piece of wood furniture, cabinetry and molding we own)...lol! He is still very much a puppy, and has some maturing to do, but we feel he has a lot to offer the Frenchie breed and could pass on some amazing genetics. We are in no rush, but we will likely be starting his Preliminary OFA testing in the next few months to determine if Maui would be a good Stud candidate for our program.

Pic #2. Dash (formerly Rexy). Can I just say how much I LOVE pieds! He was the most cuddly, loving puppy and just wanted to be held and snuggled while he was with us. He was the smallest boy in the litter, and is still a little guy at 21 lbs at 11 months old (my current video of him won't load 😟). But he is also very solid (great structure on this guy). He goes everywhere with his mom and dad, and the family and grandkids adore him. Makes me so happy to see how loved all of our babies are!!

Pic #3. Poppy (formerly Mulan). One of our biggest puppies in the litter and is now 24 lbs! She was the perfect combination of calm and spunky when she was with us. She has matured so well (look at those open nares)! Her mom tells me that she and her human sister are inseparable! She is a spoiled girl and has her family wrapped around her paw. 🥰❤️🐾

Harley X Po Litter - Pregnancy Update...

Miss Harley is officially in her 5th week of pregnancy. She is definitely more sleepy these days, and spending most of her time being a couch potato. There are a lot of things happening developmentally with her babies right now, which explains why she is such a sleepy girl.

Between weeks 5 and 6, the fetuses are looking more like puppies!! Tiny toes, nails and whiskers have formed. The fetus’s organs have completely developed, along with skin color. At the six-week mark, the fetus's have s*x organs and begin to develop into either males or females.

We have exactly 3 weeks until Harley's x-ray appointment to confirm official puppy counts. And approximately 5-7 days after that, the puppies will be born!!

Harley is going to be a momma!!!

4-5 puppies were seen on the Ultrasound. There might be a few more hiding....we shall see. ♥️ We have been anticipating and dreaming of Harley babies for what feels like an eternity and we could not be more excited.

Harley is doing very well, and is the happiest girl. She is a little less playful, and a little less enthusiastic about food. But overall, has done very well.

This will be our last litter for at least 3-4 years, so I am soaking in every single moment of this process. I cannot wait to love on these sweet babies, and watch Harley go through the process of motherhood. She is going to be such a wonderful momma. 💕

The X-ray for official puppy counts is scheduled for 8/19/24. And the estimated Due date (window) is 8/24/24- 8/26/24. 🤯
