This is Hamlet is a Pot Belly and came from Kansas. He had a long can drive and is now settling in to his new home. He enjoys his many visitors and the occasional Cheese Ball..

We added 4 acres of pasture to the ranch this spring.. The horses really enjoy being able to graze daily. Can’t wait to add more next spring. It’s been a huge blessing.

My daughter has her very own pony.. But first she had to volunteer at another ranch, work our ranch and show responsibility first. She has to clean paddocks, feed and groom horses and help teach her pony ground manners. Riding horses is fun but what you don’t see is hours of care out into your horse daily. Horse ownership is a big responsibility but rewarding. So proud of her.

The newest rescue to come to Faraway Downs is here!!
Meet my girl Sadie.. She came all the way from Austin Texas to come join our lesson crew.. She’s a pony and is 13 hands tall. She was rescued from a very bad situation but is doing great now and we are very happy to have helped give her a new life. She especially loves children and will be a great addition to our riding lessons. Come out and meet Sadie.. She loves meeting new friends and getting treats. ♥️

Miss Brandee needed some grooming yesterday.. Did a little ground work with her too.. Always interesting to see where each horse is after a long winter.. We do a little checking to see what we need to touch on with each horse. Love spring… 🌷🌼🌸

Happy to be home and see my horses.. Busy time at the ranch.. Lots of spring cleanup ahead.. New round pen and a bunch of new paddocks and pastures to be built before summer.
