Every once in a while, my side gate to the backyard gets left open (usually contractors working on the house, or whatever), and Winston sneaks out! 😬 Today he snuck out and I was very worried because he seemed to have had several hours of a head start to run off.

Well, he just decided to trundle across the street and munch on my neighbor's yard clover. 😅 My other neighbor gathered him up in a wagon and brought him home! 😄

He is now home sweet home, secured in the backyard, and has gotten lots of apple snacks.

Whew! Way to give mom a heart attack there, bud! 💀

Winston and I had an uninvited guest in the yard today! 😱😱😱 We kindly asked him to move along since he was trying to get into my vegetable garden.

PSA: This is a rather large snapping turtle. They WILL bite first and ask questions later. I consider myself very skilled at handling and picking up turtles but even I got a little squeemish when I had to pick him up. They are very fast and their heads can turn around almost all the way to the backs of their shells. Be careful!
