We are coming to you with a plea for help!! Birdy, one of our cats got very sick Tuesday evening. We initially thought that she had an upper respiratory infection, but by Wednesday afternoon we realized that it was much more serious.

We took her to Veterinary Emergency Group in Anaheim Hills and she was admitted. She was lethargic, not wanting to eat and generally in bad body condition.

The first day of hospitalization came to $2300. We were fortunate enough to be able to pay that initial bill. It was determined that Birdy is fighting a combination of FIP. She is fighting a combination of Dry,Wet and Neuro. FIP is a horrible disease and we sadly have had too much experience with it.

We are very thankful that the Vet is open to discussing the case with one of our colleagues who is very familiar and very knowledgeable in treating this. We are working with the vet to get Birdy stabilized enough to bring her home to continue to treat the FIP with the tools that we have at our disposal.

Our bill for the second day of hospitalization is a balance of $1791.65. The total for the two days is $4182.16.

We are a small rescue and this is a huge blow for us. Any and all donations are appreciated.

Derek and Dusty are doing well and opened their eyes last night!! So happy that we were in a position to help the family!!

We are 100% volunteer, so if you would like to help us defray costs for food, litter, spay/neuter, we would be very appreciative!! No amount is too small!! Every dollar adds up.

We are very happy to report that we were able to trap mama, now named Destiny, and reunite her with the babies.

The first night here she wasn't interested in taking care of them, so we let her relax and get comfortable. We took care of them but left them with her. The next morning we put them with her and she took over.

She's a very good mama and a friendly girl!!

We are thankful for the help of several people to make this happen.

We always make every effort to keep families together!!

Well, kitten season has begun!! Meet Derek and Dusty. They were with their mama at Corona City Hall. We got involved and with a small team of people we tried to get mama trapped.
Unfortunately it was a busy area and we weren't able to get her. We took the babies in because we hadn't seen mama for quite a while so didn't feel comfortable leaving them. We will continue to work to get mama.

We don't condone taking kittens without mama.

These four kitties will be going in today to get spayed/neutered!! As with everything, prices at the clinic that we go to have gone up. Each cat for the basic procedure will cost 95 each. Today will run us 380. If you would like to help us defray the cost, we would be very grateful.

Every dollar we raise goes directly to the cats and kittens, as we are 100% volunteer!!!

We are going to start highlighting our adoptable cats!! We have quite a few under the rescue and we are looking for amazing homes for these babies!! These are two seperate groups of siblings.

The C group was at a local shelter and slated for euthansia, we worked with a networker and was able to save these babies. They are a little over a year old and very sweet.

The K group was born in a backyard of two neighbors who reached out to us to help them find homes.

Both of these groups are very sweet, fully vetted and ready to go to their new homes!!

On December 20th we were very surprised to find a closed, strapped box on our front porch. It was about 7 pm. We opened the box and to our surprise we found a tiny black and white kitten. Luckily she did jump out of the box and we were able to contain her.
Our neighbor saw someone drop the box off at about 3 pm. This poor baby was stuck in a box for 4 hours. So irresponsible, anything could have happened. We were very lucky that nothing happened and she was safe.

In honor of Christmas we named her Eve. She has since come thorough quarantine and is now part of the a group of 4 cow kittens just about her age. They have accepted her as part of the group and they get along very well.

She will be available for adoption and will be getting spayed hopefully by the end of January or early February.

If anyone would like to help her and the other cats and kittens in our care, we would be extremely grateful!!

Adopted 1/12/24
Cyd & Ginger, now Didi and Wednesday came to us in June of 2022. They were living outside with the rest of their litter. The family that took care of them reached out to us and asked for us to take them in. We did and they took quite a while to warm up, but once they did they were both the sweetest girls.

We knew that they needed to be adopted together and we were so excited to meet their new family. It was truly love at first sight and the girls came out of their shells very quickly! They are absolute princesses and rule the castle!! We are so happy for them and look forward to many updates!

Adopted 9/12/22
Bruno & Peaches now named Curry & Miso came to us with their litter as babies. They were living in a shed and the lady that was taking care of them was very worried about them all. We took them all in and right away they were all very sweet.

We were so excited when our adopters came to visit Peaches and decided to take them both. They are very sweet together and are living their best life. Their new family sends us updates and keep in touch!! We look forward to many more!!!

As we say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025 we are hopeful for a better year. 2024 saw quite a bit of heartache as we said good bye to several of our cats and kittens, that is the downside to rescue. We honor their memory and cherish the time that we had the joy to know them.
We are very thankful that in a year when adoptions throughout the rescue community were down overall, we successfully adopted out 40 cats and kittens and an adorable pair of chihuahuas.
We have treated quite a few cats and kittens with FIP, feline infectious peritonitis. This is a horrible disease and there has been quite a bit of learning to be done. We are very happy that we have successfully treated and have cats in observation that are doing very well. We are sad that we did lose a few cats to this and we did learn for the future.
We have big plans for this coming year, and as always we are in need of funds, volunteers and help!!
We are so grateful for the continuing support of many people. We are truly blessed by the ongoing support!!
Thank you for sharing this journey with us and we look forward to many more cats and kittens helped and provided better futures!!!

It's been a challenging year and we are so blessed to still be doing all we can for the cats and kittens in our care. We are truly thankful for everyone who has supported us and continues to support us!!! You keep us going!! We wish you all a wonderful holiday!!!
