John update! He is in his new home, warm and getting spoiled! Thank you Odessa Wildlife Sanctuary for taking him in!!
No chip on sweet Mac either. Poor scared big Mac. He looks like 20 lbs.
Mac and Chloe, they are definitely bonded. As soon as Mac settles a bit more we will get them checked out at the vet. We will have them get scanned by our vet again too to be sure it's not an older chip, we have a cheap reader only.
Jill is enjoying the sun..

I am sooo grateful to Odessa Animal Sanctuary for taking in John. As you can see, they are ready to receive him after Thanksgiving. He will have a beautiful habitat and he will be safe and very well taken care of! Thank you Andy for doing this, it is a big cost and I am asking our followers to make a small donation in Johns name to this sanctuary to cover some of the lufetime cost of care.
Getting the feeding tube inserted for Bella. Hoping that will do the trick. The feeding tube allows us to get food in her and also allows her to start eating on her own when she is ready. Diagnosis is Pancreatitis, anemia and a rare blood parasite. We treated her since last Thursday but not improving. I hope all this subsides when she starts eating. We don't have a lot of history on her medically speaking but she was extremely stressed coming to us. So stress can be a huge factor. Xrays, lungs, all organs are clear. She is only 4 so we are giving her all we got!!
Bella is a declawed 4 year old cat. Her owner could no longer take care of her. She has an adoption pending but just last week she stopped eating so we took her to the vet. She was yellowing so not a good sign. She was diagnosed wiith anemia, Pancreatitis and has a rare blood parasite, all of which we are treating. The bill yesterday was $880 for a lot of diagnostics and treatments. If you can help us replenish our funds, we appreciate it!! YES, $5 helps!!!!
Jumanji update!!! This adopter is sooo fantastic!! He is thriving!! Here is what she wrote: Jumanji is playing so much now!Theres some more exciting news to share, but first I need to tell you that the special diet I had found for him turned out not to be helpful after all to stop the itching and scratching . So, I kept searching. A relative told me her dog had been in agony over inflamed and itchy paws and legs. The dog’s vet prescribed Apoquel to stop the itching and Trazadone to calm him. This dog is doing well now! I contacted Jumanji’s vet to see if these meds could be prescribed for him. She agreed to prescribe Apoquel, and it works perfectly so far! He’s no longer itching. His skin is starting to heal. Before trying Trazadone, Jumanji’s Dr suggested that he take Gabapentin to calm him down. So far so good! He’s a happy boy now. No more itching and scratching. He’s letting me pet him, he gets along with the 2 other cats, he’s eating well, and one can see he’s no longer in pain. I’m SO happy.!!!
Next, he’ll visit the veterinary ophthalmologist for his bad eye. I’ll let you know what she says would be best to do, or not do, for his health and comfort!
I’m grateful for what you do for animals! You saved Jumanji’s life and many many more lives.
The orphans our hero trapper Kristy Bush rescued in North Tampa are doing well and we think they may have adopters already! 🙏🙏🙏
Hard to believe that this is James. He has a nasty pelvic fracture that we don't have the money for to repair ($7k-$10k) but after weeks of cage rest, he indicated a few days ago he was ready to come out. James is FIV positive, he needs entropion surgery and still needs to be neutered but for now we are allowing him more time to heal. This is super exciting progress. He is also a very mellow cat.
We got a call from Stephanie another hero!! She was looking for help with a mom and 4 kittens. She is taking care of most of their needs already but we are happy to help with advice and getting them vetted and adopted once they are older and ready.!!
