Treating mites in chickens requires a multi-step approach.

🌱🐣 In this video these precious silkies juvenile are getting three drops of ivermectin on top of the head, armpit and bottom area.

🌱🐣Repeat treatment every 7-10 days for 3-4 weeks to ensure all mites are eliminated.

🌱🐣 Remove all bedding material and replace it with fresh, dry bedding like straw or pine shavings.

🌱🐣Thoroughly clean and disinfect the coop, paying attention to cracks and crevices where mites hide. You can use Elector PSP or ivermectin in a spray bottle connected to the water hose,seen in previous reels.

🌱🐣 Mites can develop resistance to treatments, so it’s essential to rotate products and repeat treatments as directed.

🌱🐣 Remember, patience and persistence are key when treating mites in chickens. It may take several weeks to completely eliminate an infestation, but with these steps, you’ll be well on your way to a healthy, mite-free flock.
