Okay friends....Canelo needs a miracle. He's VERY bedraggled looking, but I promise he makes up for it in sweet personality. He's been at the shelter since 12/26. That's way too long to be in a small, metal cage. The fact that he keeps getting overlooked is heartbreaking but he keeps on purring despite it all. Will anyone give this scraggly boy the love he deserves??

New Year, new shelter Muttshots focus! These dogs are not available for adoption yet and we really hope some will find their way back to their owners. The shelter is terribly full and that means as these dogs wait for their mandatory 'stray hold' to time out, surrendered and unclaimed animals are being euthanized due to lack of space. It's a sad situation and we can help. Microchip your pets, make damn sure they are spayed and neutered and adopt from a rescue or community shelter if you are ready for the expensive, messy, long term, and absolutely worthwhile and joy-filled commitment. The shelter is over capacity and that means dogs in this situation are given limited time to decompress before it becomes imperative that space is made for the next ones. Please help if you can.

Need a last minute gift idea and want to support our rescue efforts? We have mugs for $15 and shirts (random size assortment) for $25. We will bag em up with some stickers and buttons and leave them on our front stoop for pick-up if you are interested. All proceeds benefit the kittens (and various other creatures)!
