🎃👻 Poloween 2025 is in the books!

Thank you to everyone who came out to play - across 8 chukkers we had a pinata, a ghost, a devil, Buffy the vampire slayer and an accompanying vampire, some skeletons, a sleep time pony, Shrek and trusty steed Fiona, a bear, a turtle, a knight, a Nico Eurnekian impersonator, and more!

As the 2025 polo season in Virginia draws to a close, we wanted to look back at how our women's league performed. Swipe to take a look at our stats! ⏩

☔ Even with a very late start on grass due to all the rain this spring and into the early summer, we still managed to have games nearly every week once we got going.

We're excited to continue our women's league in 2026 with arena and grass games for lady players of all levels, and we have some ideas to make things even more fun for everyone!

Thank you to everyone who came to play with us this season! Special thank you as well to all the facilities that hosted us.

That's a wrap! Our final women's 0-2 goal arena tournament of the season is in the books ✅

🏆 Congrats to Bigotes Polo (Jessica Henwood, Ale Cossio, Saskia de Vries) for taking the win, and Jessica with MVP.

🥈 Azure Polo (Virginia Mattingly, Emily Ashby, Nina McKee) claimed second place, with Nina winning Sportsmanship.

🥉 Third place went to Mane Attraction (Harleigh Harlow, Emma Davis, Lauren Carnicero), with Tequila (owned and played by Harleigh) winning BPP.

🚨 Our final women's 0-2 goal tournament of the season is here! Saturday, October 11.

👉 We'll have a 12:30pm mini rules clinic (open to all) and the first chukkers will start at 1:30pm with Bigotes Polo facing off against Mane Attraction.

WINNER of the first round robin will SIT, loser will stay up and play Azure Polo.

🙌 Our first women's tournaments were a success! Three flights (not rated, 0-4, and 6-8) across two days - and we beat the rain!

🙏 So grateful to have gotten our women's league off the ground this year with practices almost every week and (so far) 50 different women participating, from a wide variety of places and with differing handicap levels.

👉 We will continue grass league games through October as long as weather allows. Stay tuned as well for some arena league games!

We already have some exciting ideas and plans for next year to further improve the women's league, so watch this space! 👀

🏆 Every flight will have goodie bags and trophies for all players, along with awards for MVP, BPP, and sportsmanship.

Many players are Women's League regulars, but we have a few new ladies joining us from various states!

⏰ 12:30pm mini rules clinic, first game at 1:30pm
💲 $400/team

👉 We are doing a one day tournament format: each of the 4 teams will play 2, 2-chukker games (a semifinal and then either a consolation final or the final).

🏆 Prizes for all, as well as awards for MVP, BPP, and sportsmanship.
