A wonderful shot of Clarissa Echezarreta from the May 31 Women's Arena League.

To be honest, I've been trying to figure out how to make a picture like this for at least two years.

It may sound crazy, but it's been in the back of my mind and kept popping up.

At first, I thought I had to use an overlay in Photoshop or something artificial. I watched videos, read countless posts searching for clues, and tried many times with limited success. It just never looked right.

After watching a drone reel of this arena, I knew this was my chance! The timing of the match; the way the sun passed diagonally across the arena; and filtered behind the trees on the opposite side - it was perfect. 🙏🏼🌞🌅

📢 Women's Arena League on Fridays, starting May 3! Individual sign up on a weekly basis (games dependent on weather, player and umpire availability, etc.) - first game at 5pm with a second game at 7pm if enough players. Teams will be put together each week to make them as equal as possible. If there are two games, we may have an A flight and a B flight.

Poloween 2023 is in the books! Big thanks to our friends from Morningside Polo for joining us. Marleen Kern won Best Costume, but we had lots of fun outfits, including an astronaut, Wonder Woman, a turtle, David Beckham and the Spice Girls, a Slytherin student, Rosie the Riveter, a unicorn, and more!

Final standings from regular bracket play!

Congratulations to Riverside and Burdick Equine on their wins in the final round of normal Saturday bracket play. Riverside (3-0) moves on to the championship match against Rebellis (also 3-0) from the Friday bracket.

Congratulations to Rebellis and Chukker / Jadec on their wins tonight. Rebellis moves to 3-0 in the Friday bracket and will play the top ranked team from the Saturday bracket for the championship title. Mountain View Polo will play for 3rd/4th place against the second ranked Saturday team. Chukker / Jadec plays for 5th/6th place, while Martini Girls will play for 7th/8th place.

We're in our final week of regular bracket play! Rebellis and Mountain View Polo (both 2-0) face off on Friday evening at 4:30pm to determine which team will advance to the championship match, while the Saturday 10:30am game sees Riverside (2-0 and last year's defending champion) take on Naughty Dog (also 2-0) to see who will play the Friday bracket victor.

Chukker / Jadec and Martini Girls also play on Friday at 6pm (determining who will play in the 5th/6th place or 7th/8th place game) while Burdick Equine vs. Viking Polo is on Saturday at 12pm.

Week 2 Saturday bracket results are in! Congratulations to Riverside and Naughty Dogs on their victories. Both teams move to 2-0 in their bracket and will face off next week to see who will move on to the championship game for overall 2023 Arena Invitational Champion!
