✨EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT ✨
As we have now reopened our breeding program and have our first foals on the ground we have rebranded as The Illkeston Stud.
With carefully selected, well bred and presented mares ready to breed with and our very own Shutterfly stallion, we are looking forward to the season ahead.
We will continue to offer livery and training to clients as well as operating our stud seperately.

After a relaxing week off in the sun it was lovely to be back aboard 🦄
After a whole week we have decided to name our new arrivals Bow (chestnut) and Archie (miniature).

Bow is out of our own Little Miss Moon & Artful Archer

She will no doubt be an unbelievable athlete when she’s older.

Archie is a little shy still but is coming out of his shell day by day.
Moon did a fantastic job delivering her HUGE filly at 2am this morning and what an absolute beauty she is 😍 !
This little cutie joined us today 🥰
Tallulah is in foal and due over the next month or so meaning moon will have a foal Buddy for her foal !

⚠️NOTICE⚠️
We have made the decision that we will no longer be offering sales livery.
This has been decided due to the following reasons amongst many more :
- Dishonesty from sellers.
- Unrealistic figures and time frames sellers expect.
- The condition some horses turn up here in and expect a quick sale.
- We’re Expected to do just commission only on horses that will cost more to keep that what they’re selling for.
- Sellers moving the goal posts when it comes to offers (higher than what they originally agreed lowest offers)
We WILL continue to sell our own horses and buy in but be aware we will thoroughly vet horses and look into their history before buying in and will expect photos/videos taken the same week MINIMUM.
In short we have no desire to sell on behalf of clients.

We are looking for a new member to join our small team on a part time basis. Must be 18yrs+
Duties to include :
- Turnout
- Rug Changes
- Mucking Out
- Feeding
- Haynets
- Water buckets
- Keeping the yard clean and tidy
Candidate must have :
- Experience within the equine industry.
- MUST be confident with handling BIG, young and fit horses.
- Experience working with Stallions a bonus.
- Drivers license.
- Own Insurance.
- Reliability
Position is flexible for the right person however is non ridden.
We are a lovely stud and livery yard just 5 minutes from Liskeard with excellent facilities and a nice atmosphere.
Good rate of Pay, to be discussed based on experience and age.
Self employed basis so own insurance is required !
At the moment we cannot offer your own horse to come but this may change in the future.

After a hectic start to the day, Rosie was an absolute diamond at her first under saddle show coming home with a qualification for The Sunshine Tour ! Thank you to everyone that helped today and to my very patient partner !
William had a light leg stretch and a tour of the sand school which he thoroughly enjoyed today.
Groundwork starts this week to build up some muscle and get him out hacking 😊

Poppy had started to be backed before finding she was in foal and since has been a companion. There are no reasons why poppy can’t come into work.
She is currently empty however we can cover her with our own stallion which would increase her price.
No health concerns/ injuries.

William is such a gentle giant who we are thrilled to have on the yard.
He is not for sale but there may be the opportunity to loan him in the future.

Having competing age classes and building a good CV for herself across Ireland and the UK, Rose is now one of our broodmares and currently in foal to the graded stallion, Jumping Jack Flash due in June/July this year.
Foal will be available at weaning.

She has the nicest nature we’ve found in a mare ! Very sweet and absolutely loves a fuss.

Hattie as she’s know to us is by Bentley Van De Heffinck and Venice Lady V with lines including Heartbreaker, Nimmerdor, Kenwood and many more Big names !
While she is very sweet and easy she will mug you for treats or anything she thinks looks tasty.
Hattie competed in SJ very successfully earning herself a good reputation in the ring.
We’re very excited to put her to our stallion (by sir Shutterfly) for next season.

Chestnut mare with a catch… She couldn’t be further from the stereotype! This mare is the most loving and caring soul. Rosie is currently working under saddle and recently started her showing/competition career to give her some history before we put her to our stallion (by sir shutterfly) for next year.
