It’s officially official!!!!! 💗

Bindi has found her forever home with the most amazing family!!! Bindi spent over 9 months at South LA shelter before we saved her at the end of May. A huge thank you to the lovely for putting Bindi in our sights when we visited the shelter, so happy that we pulled her that day she has been such a dream since! 🥹 So deserving, & unbelievably sweet!

A huge thank you to her temp foster for saying yes to taking her in after we left the shelter and giving her the tools to settle in and decompress so comfortably, as well as helping her getting settled in her foster-to-adopters home as well!

The biggest thank you to her wonderful adopter for welcoming Bindi into your home with open arms and being so incredibly willing to give and do anything and everything that she needed from the start. Your dedication as an adopter has been so refreshing to see and is truly what every rescue dog out there deserves 🫶🏻 To put it lightly, Bindi won the jackpot with you and your family, and we are so happy for you guys!

Have the best life ever Bindi!!!! You deserve every moment of it. Happy tails & trails! 🐾

We have had so many wonderful adoptions lately (even a few amazing ones pending this week🥳) but sadly, every once in a while some adoptions fall through..

Percy here ⬆️ pictured with our lovely friend (she wasn’t the adopter) at one of our recent adoption events before he was adopted. Percy is sadly being returned now due to life changes.. we like all rescues have unfortunately had a few dogs returned at no fault of their own (having a baby, moving, etc) and as due diligent as we are with our adoption applications, homes checks, interviews, contracts, etc things can change for some a couple weeks later. It’s unfortunate not only does Percy have to go through another change and the confusion that comes from that, but also it hinders us from helping another dog in need until he gets situated in a secure foster home or better yet, a real forever home.

Percy was originally found on the streets of LA as a stray, when he got to South LA shelter the poor guy started shutting down and would just hide in the corner of his kennel. He was so scared of people at first and would trot away and try and keep his distance out of fear. We had gone down to South LA originally for Marty who was going to be euthanized, but after meeting Percy and a few others we couldn’t leave them behind! After rescuing him Percy’s true side really came out and he’s been the most loving, hilarious little goof ball you could imagine! ☺️

If you are interested in adopting or fostering Percy, please fill out our foster or adoption application at the link in our bio. If already approved, please send us an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a place to foster or adopt, please consider sharing this post to hopefully help us find someone who is! Thank you as always for your help, we couldn’t save these lives without YOU!

A huge thank you to for these amazing photos! 📸

Happy $5 Friday Everyone!!! 💗

I realized we have been so incredibly busy lately with rescue, medical pups, events, etc, that we have really been lagging on our adoption updates!!

As a rescue I always wanted our supporters to be up to speed and get to see the “rescue, rehab, and rehoming” of each of our pups! Transparency in rescue is huge, and so is showing these dogs living their best lives all thanks to all of YOU! 🫶🏻

For $5 Friday, please consider donating the cost of a cup of coffee, to us saving many more deserving lives the the ones in this post!

Slide one: Charlie Brown! We rescued Charlie from Madera shelter, he had a broken leg that had to be amputated. He now has an incredible family that’s local to us, we recently saw him and his mom at a brewery and he’s certainly hit the jackpot! You will never see a bigger smile on a pups face! 😍

Slide two: Tigerlily! We saved Tigerlily from Riverside, she was apart of a hoarding case. Tigerlily was adopted by amazing alumni adopters of ours, who actually adopted Scrappy who is also pictured! ☺️ She has acres of beautiful property local to us, and enjoys relaxing by the pool, like the proper queen she is!

Slide three: Percy! We saved Percy from South LA. Percy’s family met him and absolutely fell in love when his foster family took him to a local market! It was love and first sight! Percy loves kids, and now he has a few of his own to play with every day!

Slide four: Cowboy! Cowboy, our sweet sensitive boy that was sadly previously returned, has found his perfect forever family with some wonderful family friends of ours! They have a quiet home, just the two of them, with property for Cowboy to run around and play in, while also taking him on plenty of adventures! He enjoys going on his families boat, AND airplane! 😍 It’s so beautiful to see him as happy as he is, and his family as happy as they are!

Slide five: Archie! Archie found his wonderful family that actually are just heading home from a road trip with him! They said today “We were just talking about what a blessing he has been. He is truly our new family member. He is happy as can be and full of
joy.” ❤️

💫 ADOPT SHEA! 💫

We rescued Shea back in March of this year after she was scheduled to be euthanized at the Riverside shelter, San Jacinto campus. My sweet mom rushed over there as fast as she could and got there as they were prepping her for the euth room! Literally made it just in time to save this sweet girl life! 🙏🏻

Shea had come into the shelter as a stray after being hit by a car. She was sitting in the shelter for over 2 weeks with multiple fractures on her back leg. After getting her from the shelter we immediately took her to the vet and that was the start of a long road to recovery for Miss Shea! X-rays every 3 weeks, multiple cast changes, and weeks of low activity and incredibly enough this perfect girl made a complete recovery without the need an amputation like we had initially believed! It’s amazing how fast young dogs can heal in the right environment and with the right diet & medical help! Shea now can keep up with all the other dogs, runs and plays like nobody’s business, she’s an incredibly resilient, and sassy girl! 😂 A huge thank you to Sheas wonderful foster family for opening your home and heart to this sweet girl!

A little bit about Shea:

• 1 year old
• Female Agouti Husky
• People, dog, & cat friendly!
• She LOVES to play with other dogs
• She walks great on leash & is potty trained
• She would love an active family to be able to go out on plenty of adventures with!

If you are interested in adopting Shea, please fill out our adoption application at the link in our bio. If already approved, please send us an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a place to adopt, please consider sharing this post to hopefully help us find someone who is! Thank you as always for your help, we couldn’t save these lives without YOU! 💗

Happy $5 Friday everyone!!! 🫶🏻

What better way to start this day out then spreading the AMAZING news that Bees pathology report came back CANCER FREEEE! 🥳🎉 We are so happy for her!!!

We were so worried going into her Mastectomy surgery that cancer would be a possibility since her mammary glands were huuuge and filled with hard rock like pebbles, the anticipation has been high waiting for the results of the test but we honesty couldn’t be happier for our sweet Bee that she has some good news, finally 💗

If you are interested in donating towards Bee’s surgery it would be so incredibly appreciated! Between Instagram, Venmo, & PayPal donations we are only a couple hundred dollars off from covering her bill so that be a huge financial relief for us! Thank you so much as always, we couldn’t do this without you guys! 🙏🏻

Can you believe NO ONE has inquired about our magical velvet hippo Marty here? 😣 How can that be?! A huge thank you to for the amazing 📸’s!

We rescued Marty from South LA shelter, he was scheduled to be euthanized the day we saved him. It’s one of the worst shelters I’ve ever seen in terms of overpopulation, with 500 dogs currently residing in a facility capable to house 250 or so 😩 It’s awful, dogs only get to leave kennels once or twice a month for a walk since there’s not enough help to work with them all of them enough.

Marty had been at the shelter since September of 2023, he was absolutely petrified at the shelter and became barrier reactive in his kennel which is how he got kill listed after 9 months. These dogs are kept in these small kennels for months and once they start to deteriorate mentally from being so cooped up, they get kill listed. It’s absolutely awful! I know if I was kept in a tiny cell I would lose my mind in a wayyy shorter amount of time!

Ever since leaving the shelter, Marty has been so sweet and mellow. He’s so happy to be out and have one on one attention. He’s been amazing with the other dogs, so tolerant and easy going. He would love a home where he can continue to come out of his shell and get more and more comfortable. He’s going to make such an amazing addition to a special family out there! 🫶🏻

If you are interested in adopting or fostering Marty, please fill out our foster or adoption application at the link in our bio. If already approved, please send us an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a place to foster or adopt, please consider sharing this post to hopefully help us find someone who is! Thank you as always for your help, we couldn’t save these lives without YOU!

❣️ Adopt Peanut! ❣️

Our sweet boy Peanut is looking for his forever family! We rescued Peanut from , when he was first brought into the shelter at only 3 months old they said he they thought he had been hit by a car or something as he had been hopping around to move and seemed there had been a prior injury to his hind leg area. He was at the shelter for quite sometime and slowly regained his mobility back. When we went to the shelter to save some dogs, the shelter staff told us how amazing of a boy he was and really hoped we would take him too to have the chance at an amazing life. He was such a staff favorite we of course, couldn’t say no 🫣

He went to our vet after coming into our rescue and got X-rays and amazingly they said he looked great! They said it looks like he did have an injury when he was younger, but was able to heal it and as he’s grown it’s been able to heal that way and not cause an issue!

Peanut has been with his incredible foster mom who has this to say about her time with Peanut

“Peanut is a very sweet puppy who loves going on walks, playing, and cuddling on the couch. He sleeps through the night and is able to spend up to 6 hours in the crate with no bathroom breaks. His favorite thing to do is steal toys from his foster sister and go for a walk in the park. He is great with dogs and people, but sometimes takes him a minute to warm up to kids. He is not picky about his food and loves playing with toys. He also does great in the car! He would be a great addition to any family!”

If you are interested in adopting peanut please fill out our adoption application at the link in our bio, or if already approved please send me an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a place to adopt, please consider sharing this post to hopefully help us find someone who is! Thank you as always for your help, we couldn’t save these lives and aid these second chances without YOU! 🫶🏻

From the streets of Romania, to being a doggy model for the iconic Columbia, Melvin is a true rags to riches story! 🥹 Melvin was rescued in Romania thanks to the amazing who helped bring him to the US to us where we had his incredible forever home and waiting for him (funny side note, James also did all our Atlas branding and created our logo! 🙌🏻) They have given Melvin such a dream home for him to thrive and become the superstar he always was meant to be ✨

Foster or Adopter needed! ❤️ Can you guys believe our beautiful girl Tiger Lily hasn’t had ANY foster or adoption interest?! HOW?! I mean look at that perfect face! 🥹😍

This girl is so expressive and funny, she’s such a hoot to be around! Tiger Lily was one of 35 confiscated American Bulldogs from a breeder in Riverside and she and the others were taken to the incredibly crowded and overpopulated Riverside Shelter, the San Jacinto Campus. The other bulldogs were saved by various rescues and Tiger Lily was the last one left without a rescue to help her, we saw her sweet little face jumping for pets in a shelter video and knew we had to help! 🫶🏻

Our wonderful friend answered the call right away when I told her we wanted to save her and needed a temp foster, she’s absolutely amazing and drove to the shelter the next morning to pick her up for us! She absolutely raved about Tiger Lily and how sweet she is, she’s just an absolute love bug who is so happy to finally get some one on one attention and time 🥹

Tiger Lily is looking for a local foster here on the central coast or an adopter! She’s people and dog friendly, AND cat friendly, a total gem! If you are interested in fostering or adopting please fill out our foster or adoption app at the link in our bio or if already approved please send us an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a position to foster or adopt, please share to help us spread the word! Any and all help is so appreciated as always, thank you rescue village!!! 🙏🏻

It’s official!!! Moose has found his forever home! 🥳

We are so unbelievably excited for Moose for finding his forever home with his lovely foster family! I had met his now mom when I stopped by our local pet food store and brought him in to pick out a treat, she came up asking to meet him and immediately fell in love. I mean how could you not?! Next thing you know she asked to foster him and the rest is history 🥹💫 He’s found such a wonderful, loving family that absolutely adore him and takes him on so many fun adventures! I’m hoping they might adopt one of us next, fingers crossed! 😂

A huge thank you to the wonderful for helping us with Moose and allowing us to come to classes with him and for even briefly fostering him for us too!!! You guys helped us SO much with him and we couldn’t be more grateful 🙏🏻

Bee says Happy $5 Fridayyyy! 🐝

We rescued Bee last Friday from Downey Animal Shelter in LA where she was scheduled to be killed. We rushed down to LA at the final hour to save her life and immediately after they brought her out of her kennel I could see this poor girl has been through ALOT in her 4 short years of life and that she was going to need some major medical help 🥺

After taking Bee to our vets they found the following “ Bee has mammary masses that could be benign or malignant- the best way to decipher is to obtain an incisional biopsy of one of the lesions for biopsy. This does require anesthesia, unlike a fine needle aspirate for cytology. However, in the case of mammary tumors, fine needle aspirate tends to not be diagnostic.
Another option is to perform a unilateral mastectomy- removing one line of mammary tissue, and 4 weeks later remove the other side.
For her right forelimb lameness- radiographs were taken to diagnose an OCD (osteochondrosis dissecans) lesion at the caudal aspect of the humeral head. These tend to be congenital lesions and it has likely been there since she was a puppy. This lesion may be the source of her limp, but it also may not. Dr Bell may be willing to perform surgery to remove the defect, but her size and musculature make this a very difficult procedure and she may need to be referred to a specialty center. “

We were not expecting such a big medical case with Bee 😩 It’s a huge blow to our rescue right now… our vets want to start with her Mastectomy, which they said needs to be done in 2 parts, 4 weeks apart. Both surgeries are going to be $1600-2000, EACH. Thats not even including her potentially getting surgery on the lesion on her leg which our vets might not be able to do and might require a specialist. Which we know all about how expensive specialist can be after Sally’s specialist journey costing roughly $10k. 😵‍💫

For $5 Friday please consider pitching in the cost of a cup of coffee to Bees impending medical bills. We are going to do the fundraisers in different parts, this first one will be for her initial app/Xrays about $445 (swipe to see the vet bill) & including her first Mastectomy surgery which was estimated to be between $1,600-2k. (swipe to see the vets estimate) Then hopefully, praying we can cover this first surgery in 4 weeks we can hopefully fundraiser for her second Mastectomy surgery to remove the masses on the other side which will be another $1,600-2k. After all that, hopefully her leg starts doing better but if it doesn’t, we will have to start looking into that & the potential/possibilities for another surgery 🫠

Every $ truly makes such a difference. If 500 of our followers donated $5 today, we could raise the funds for Bee’s surgery! There’s such a power in numbers! We truly can’t thank you all enough for the support, & we know Bee can’t either 🐝

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 WE ARE EXPANDING!!! & looking for like-minded individuals interested in filling in internal roles! 🕺

As many of you guys know, I’ve been running the rescue solo since launching it in 2020. The rescue couldn’t come so far or saved as many lives as we have without our incredible fosters! But all the internal projects including paperwork, coordinating, fundraising, etc, well I’ve been cooked as a party of 1 😮‍💨 There are nights I’m up till 3 am still trying to respond back to emails/messgaes. It’s so much work to run an entire organization by yourself, but recently I’ve had more people asking to help, so I thought I would do a big outreach push to see if anyone out there is interested too!!!

We are looking for anyone who may be interested in volunteering for local events, fundraising, PR, coordinating fosters, photography/videography, etc! We’re just hoping to connect with more volunteers in whatever way they’d be willing to help!

I put a link in our bio for our volunteer application, if you are interested in applying please fill out the application and we can be in touch shortly! ✨

Thank you guys, as always! I’m so excited to hopefully expand and bring in more like-minded, pet lovers out there that want to change deserving animals’ lives together 💛

It’s been 2 weeks that Kimber has been in a temporary foster after her original foster had to move, she needs to find a longer term foster asap or better yet, an adopter!!! 🙌🏻 Her original post has gotten so many shares yet, not one application filled out.. please help us share and spread the word 📢

Kimber has had a difficult shot at life so far. From struggling to survive in the Central Valley as a stray, to getting returned from her adopters after a year, she’s down on her luck. 😔 Kimber’s adopters loved her very much but due to unforeseen circumstances they ultimately had to give her back to the rescue. Kimber is about 5 years old and has great house manners! She is very loving and sweet to any person she meets. Kimber is very food motivated and easy to train, she’s housebroken, crate trained and all in all a very sweet companion. While Kimber adores people of all ages, we think she may be best suited to a home without other animals!

If you are interested in adopting or fostering Kimber, please fill out our adoption or foster application at the link in our bio. If already approved, please send us an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a place to foster or adopt, please consider sharing this post to hopefully help us find someone who is! Thank you as always for your help, we couldn’t save these lives without YOU! 🫶🏻

Happiest Adoption to our sweet little Rupert! 🥳

On a much brighter note, our wonderful little senior has found the perfect forever family! We are so happy for him!!!

We met Rupert’s family at an adoption event that we took him to in a senior community, Rupert is so easy going with his older age and just wants to chill all day with a family. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better home to come along because they absolutely ADORE him and love him so much already. Rupert is living the absolute dream, just like he deserves 💗

Have the BEST life ever Rupert! I’m so happy you get to spend your retirement in style and get all the love and attention you deserve. We love you so much! Happy tails & trails 🐾

Adoption Pupdate!!! 💛

It’s been a while and I realized I haven’t given an update on our wild little Lenny!!! If you guys remember Lenny came to our rescue from , he came to us with a terrible re**al prolapse which took us and our vets a while to get fixed. They had tried some less invasive methods to fix it (he also had Giardia when he first came to us too so he was constantly straining which made it worse) but thanks to Dr.Bell he was able to surgical fix the prolapse and he hasn’t had an issue again since, thank goodness!!! 🙏🏻

Towards the end of us medically fostering Lenny and him being on the road to recovery is when Sally came back to our rescue with her fistula rupture (don’t ask why so many issues with medical regarding butts, it’s been *sh*tty* to say the least 😂) That’s when our wonderful family friends reached out and said they would like to medically foster Lenny and adopt when he would be ready! It worked out perfectly since they lived close to our vets too and us too for his appointments and follow ups!

We couldn’t be happier for Lenny finding such an amazing forever family to call his own, not to mention the fact we get to visit him often at our Autobahn in Templeton! 🥰 The are the ones who keep the rescue van alive and on the road! It’s so great to see him absolutely thrive with his family, and be the crazy happy boy he is!

We love you so much Lenny! We know you will have the best life imaginable, & you deserve every moment of it. Happy tails & trails 🐾

🤎 Foster needed!! 🤎

Meet Moose! 🫎 Our handsome Saint Bernard mix boy! We rescued Moose from who have been absolutely overloaded with incredible dogs and are bursting at the seams. Moose was originally brought in with 2 cane corsos from the same home and sadly, the corsos were euthanized due to human aggression. Moose has been at the shelter ever since and has been understandably confused after loosing his siblings and home.

Moose is a year old Saint Bernard mix who is up to date on vaccines and has been neutered. He gets along great with other dogs and is very sweet with people. Tall men get him a little nervous at first but after a few minutes, he slowly starts coming up to them and starts asking for pets. He’s a gentle giant baby who is going to make a family so incredibly happy out there! 🫶🏻

If you are interested in fostering Moose, please fill out our foster application at the link in our bio. If already approved, please send us an email or DM! 📲

If you aren’t in a place to foster, please consider sharing this post to hopefully help us find someone who is! Thank you as always for your help, we couldn’t save these lives without YOU! 🐾

If you are interested in donating to Moose’s medical and care, every $ is truly so appreciated and helps make second chances like Moose’s possible! Thank you as always! 🙏🏻
