Meet Cass, a ten year old OTTB. I had a wonderful consultation this morning with Cass and his dedicated owner, giving some tips on groundwork and riding. It was awesome watching such a lovely pair on their journey together and I'm thankful I got to play a small part in supporting that relationship! I'm cheering for you guys!

Meet Utah, a 5 year old Mustang that I get the privilege of riding for a while. He's already been started under saddle so I will be helping put miles on him and adding some buttons. Can't wait to practice some new skills together! Stay tuned for more!

Although it's been over a year since I graduated college, this is still one of my favorite photos! My name is Kimry Vazquez and I have a B.A. in Equine Studies concentrating in Horse Training. I was BLESSED to be taught by Jesse Westfall at Asbury University. After graduating I worked as a trainer at a large horse rescue and now I have developed KV Horsemanship to offer my services privately to horse owners. Shout out to GROUNDWORK as a fundamental way to build a relationship with your horse. Do you feel more comfortable handling your horse from the saddle or from the ground? Many would say saddle but there's so much more! If you want to feel more equipped for effective leadership from the ground I would love to meet with you! Groundwork is such a fun confidence boost for all of us and our horses!

Rearing can be a difficult problem and is unsafe for horse and rider. Karen Rohlf gives some tips for how to change this behavior and be able to ask the horse to go more forward.

Happy 4th of July! This little guy went from being nervous around fog machines and sparklers, to being confident in front of hundreds at a parade! Let's bring out your horse's potential through confidence-building, exposing them to new things and encouraging curiosity. I would love to work with your horse on desensitizing and confidence building, or we can work together if you want to learn how to lead your horse into new experiences!

Welcome to KV Horsemanship's new page! I'm Kimry Vázquez. I graduated from Asbury University with a B.A. in Equine Studies concentrating in Horse Training. I was honored to learn from Jesse Westfall of Westfall Horsemanship (Stacy Westfall's husband).

Some of the services I offer are starting young horses, tune-ups, and coaching horse owners who desire to train their own horse. I do english and western, and have some experience with gaited horses and driving. I travel to train at your location and currently do not offer trailer-ins or boarding.
