DRY CAT FOOD URGENTLY NEEDED

We are desperately short of dry cat food for our users who depend upon our donations in times of great hardship.

If you are able to help with a donation these can be left in our donation bins at ALDI, Woof and Ready, Ashdale Vets, Victoria Vets, Fox Pet Stores, Pets at Home, One Stop Gamesley and Simmondley Co-op.

SOUP PITCH Thursday 26/09 @ 6.30pm At PARTINGTON THEATRE

Come and support us and find out more about what we do as we present for vital funds jointly with Glossop Cats Rescue at the ‘Soup’ Pitch at Partington Theatre from 6.30 - 9pm this Thursday 26th Sept. All the presentations are short (maximum of 4minutes). There will SOUP, MUSIC and the BAR will be open.

Nobody should have to choose between feeding themselves or their pet. Visit Pets at Home and pick up a food donation parcel to help us feed local pets in need through the and Pet Food Bank project.
Every parcel you donate goes to our food project, which supports people and pets when they need it most.

Glossop Pets Foodbank will be at Pets at Home on 12th (Monday), 13th (Tuesday), 14th (Wednesday) August - so come along to see us and find out what we do.

APPEAL FOR CAT FOOD PLEASE

Please cat you help us with donations of CAT FOOD - preferably WET (sachets, tins) etc. but DRY would also be gratefully received.

Donations can be dropped off in the collection baskets at ALDI, Ashdale Vets, Victoria Vets, Pets at Home, Woof and Ready, Fox’s pet food store, Simmondley Co op, Hartleys garden centre cafe. THANK YOU

STRUGGLING TO FEED YOUR PETS?

If you’re struggling financially to feed your pets - contact us and we will make up a food bag containing a contribution of food for your pet.

You will have to let us know what you need (i.e cat/dog, dry/wet food) and a bag will be made up for you and left at the Hummingbird project for you to collect from FRIDAY 19th Jan.

Hummingbirds is open Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday 10am - 2pm. Your bag will only be there for one week.

You must let us know by MONDAY 15th Jan in order to be eligible for the Friday collection. Please do this by email to [email protected]. or fb messenger.

This will now be done on a weekly basis with the deadline for pet food requests being the Monday BEFORE the following FRIDAY collection start day.

Glossop Pets foodbank is now closed until the beginning of January. Thank you kind people of Glossop for your generous donations throughout the year - we couldn’t support those needing our help without you.

We won’t be collecting from our collection points over the next couple of weeks so would be grateful if you could hold off donating until the first week in January.

MONDAY 11th December is the deadline to let us know if you need help feeding your pets over Xmas.

Please contact us by fb messenger or email [email protected] if you are struggling and need a contribution of pet food. Please state type of pet and their age.

Your pet food donation will be available for collection from Hummingbirds on Friday 15th or Sunday 17th December only.

We will not be taking donation requests again until the days leading up to 8th January deadline, with pick up’s available from Friday 12th January.

Dog food will also be gratefully received but we are in particularly need of Cat food to support our users over the Xmas period.

It has been brought to our attention that some people are being rude or aggressive to the volunteers at Hummingbird when they go to pick up bags of pet food.
This is completely unacceptable. If you feel there is a problem - please contact Glossop Pets Foodbank and we will try and sort it. Hummingbirds kindly store the bags for your collection on behalf of the Pet Foodbank and are not responsible.
We understand that when you are struggling to feed your beloved pets, you are stressed but we are all volunteers and are doing our best.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PLEASE FOR
PACKING AND COLLECTION PICK UPS FROM OUR DONATION POINTS

Help needed please - with packing our donations. It’s only an hour of your time on a Tuesday late afternoon/very early evening (every 3 to 4 weeks).

And .. help to pick up donations from our collection points in Glossop. This can be done at your convenience and then dropped off at our storage point (in central Glossop).

If you are, get in touch via messenger or email us on [email protected] by MONDAY 11th Sept and we ll put together a food contribution for you which will be available for collection on Friday 15th Sept from Hummingbirds. Let us know the breed and age of dog/cat you need food for.

A big thank you to Haley and Viby from Williams Brothers on the High Street for their wonderful help and support in providing a carpet for our storage facility.

A MASSIVE thank you to Carol and the team at the Norfolk Arms for all they have done to help our cause. The team have so kind, welcoming and helpful in letting us use the Norfolk as the hub of our efforts. Their generosity has been a huge contributor in helping us get food to the pet owners who need it.
