Adult dogs should be dewormed every 6 months, or as recommended by your veterinarian.

Vaccinations: Vaccines are essential for preventing a wide range of diseases in dogs. Here are the vaccines that are recommended for dogs in India, according to veterinary standards:

Canine distemper, hepatitis, and parvovirus (DHPP): This vaccine should be given to puppies starting at 6 weeks of age, with boosters at 9, 12, and 16 weeks. Adult dogs should receive a booster every 1-3 years, depending on the vaccine used.

Here are a few you might want to keep in mind:

Hot Climate - Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and St. Bernards are made to thrive in the cold. If you experience temperatures >30°C your pup might suffer skin diseases & health issues.

Allergies - If any member of your home suffers from canine-related allergies you may be the ideal household for a hypoallergenic dog. Their coat is closer to hair, rather than fur - not only does this mean that they don’t trigger allergies, but also shed very minimal hair.

Bad Health & Hygiene - It is very important to speak to the breeder of the puppies directly, and ensure the puppy is purebred and kept with great care in sanitary conditions. The breeder should be licensed with KCI and treat all his dogs well.
