Be careful with chocolate this holiday season !

Chocolate is hands-down the winner for the most frequent exposure calls we field during the holidays. Why? Usually it's because wrapped chocolate gifts are left under the tree or in stockings. Our pet pals have GREAT sniffers and can locate chocolatey goodness right away! Please remember to keep any wrapped food or treats up and away from your furry friends!

In 2019, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) published one of its most popular veterinary guidelines to date, the 2019 Canine Life Stage Guidelines! They were an update and extension of the 2012 AAHA Canine Life Stage Guidelines. A noteworthy change from the earlier guidelines was the division of the dog’s lifespan into five stages (puppy, young adult, mature adult, senior, and end of life) instead of the previous six.
